What race are you going to be for psu? Yes I know it's really early to ask this but yea just wondering.
    Race stats
    Human=Balanced
    Newman(elf basicly)=Techs(magic)
    Beast(animal)=Close Range Attacks
    Cast(android)=Long Range Attacks

I will be a human male.

I love using magic, but for some reason newman characters don't sit right with me. So, human focusing on magic will probably be me.

As for my boyfriend, he's interested in being a gun-wielding Cast, so long as he can still look like a bulky transformer like the RAcasts. :P

For an MMoRPG they kind of made it weird on how you set it up if that's how it's going to be. Normally most MMoRPGs have it where you pick your race then your job but if your job comes with that certain race I'm probably going to be a Human.

I will most likely be a human.

But if those animal guys can transform without consuming tp in a given time then I might be an Animal guy.

They are most likely the strongest right?

The Beastmen definitely look like they'll be the strongest, since they're all big and hulking... and focus on close combat. In PSO, close combat characters generally had the highest attack power, so yeah, it makes sense, if Sega follows that formula.

These are my assumptions as to how the stats will be with the 4 races. They aren't official in any way, but to create balance in the game it might work out this way.

Human - Overall average stats all around.
Numan - Highest MST and TP, ATA may be low like in PSO, but in this one, might be a toss-up - most likely lowest ATP and HP.
Android - Most likely will have the highest ATA and probably HP, as well as a decent ATP. Probably no magic, but may have something in its place.
Beastman - Probably highest ATP, although a lower ATA and probably a decent amount of HP. Most likely very low MST and TP.

Again these are just my predictions, but it just seems that this will be the logical way to do things.
Defense is a rather weird ability, in PSO it would seem that the HUnewearls had a rather good defense for a Numan character, it seemed to actually be better than the humans. Androids had a good defense as well, but by charts people made for the characters, it would seem the Numans had the highest defense of the classes they were in. With the inclusion of the Beastman race, they may get the highest defense or could go to the androids. Truly a hard one to judge at this point.
    PSO Character:
    Khris - HUnewearl - Bluefull
    FFXI
Niname - Hume - Valefor server

It's interesting to me... I wonder when Sega decided to change the newmans' role in combat. In the older games, newmans acted more like this new beast race. They were very animal like, and while they didn't necessarily have the highest attack power, they were extremely fast and generally gave off a feral/cat-like appearance to me. I was shocked to see them as intelligent magic using characters in PSO. Although, I can't imagine anyone else who could've been the magic race.

I hope male/female characters in PSU have different traits. It seems kind of weird to me that a lot of MMORPGs haven't been taking that into account. (Although I haven't played EQ2.)

The numan race was originally based around the design of a cat-like race. The numans were bio-engineered beings created by the combination of human and a cat-like creature from Phantasy Star I. This little guy:
    http://www.phantasy-star.net/art/chars/myau.gif

Nei, or rather Neifirst, from Phantasy Star II were the first creations from Myau's cat race, however with the defeat of Neifirst, Nei had to die as well thus bringing an end to the small Numan race. Next came Rika from PSIV whose design was basically modeled after Nei. However, the biolab Rika was made in was destroyed and she was the last of the Numan race. Her and Chaz however birthed a son who would technically be half human, half Numan which would look exactly like a Numan, except maybe having only one pointed ear? Not sure as you never actually see their son.

In PSO, apparently Dr. Hyle was the one who manufactured the Numan race on the planet Coral for this timeline. They seemed to maintain their higher agility as it would seem the Newmans in PSO have a higher evade than other characters, thus meaning they are a faster race. As far as magical powers, they probably chose to give it to the Newmans because overall, they do resemble elves.

Now for a little trivia, the original concept of the Numan race called for having tails, but before PSIIs final completion, they cut off Nei's tail and decided to just use the ears.
