    Default FSOD?

Seeing as character data will be stored server-side what will happen in case of a FSOD? Will we lose all unequipped items as happened in the past or would that only happen if the servers themselves crashed?

I don't think FSOD exists in BB. When I played in the JP beta last year I had the game crash to the desktop a few times and lost nothing.

Yeah, it probably cant happen in BB. If it does, then it will probably get patched (if it isnt already). But if you DO get FSOD or the game crashes for some other reason, or a power outage, nothing will happen, as the server will still be keeping what you did. Plus it wont do that little item delete feature anymore.

I heard that some people did experience FSOD in or something in BB JP when that guy :):):):):):):) hacked it. I think GMs restored their characters though.

Really? Well, it shows that it doesnt really matter then. The server saving is a great addition. Too bad they didnt think about it before.

I'm quite certain the option was considered bus seeing as the target market then was console and not everybody had the internet or an unlimited time internet connection making it online only would have killed their sales. Let's not forget the outrage that came with V2's monthly fee at first... over POS's existence the gaming commynity has changed quite a bit and today we get to have server-side storage.
