Default Sonic Mania sorta ruined Sonic Generations (2D) for me

Before Mania even existed I had a blast playing the Classic Sonic stages but now in comparison to Mania, they just feel very clunky, slow, sloppy and not that fun. This isn't even an issue of framerate or whatever but the gameplay factor at hand here.

I think Mania has made me spoiled for Sonic games so I'm not sure if I'll enjoy the Classic Sonic stages on Forces (they could just leave 2D stages out of Forces altogether, though).

Sonic Mania is also clunky, sloppy & slow.

Peach / Girl Bomber: Tackle with a hip attack, but try not to miss.
Twilight Sparkle: Sorry, I've been a little skiddley-boppy-boo
S.Frost: The problem with Sonic is you have to build a lot of content. When speed is your number one thing

Now imagine what would happen to Mania if it was developed by Sonic Team and used GEN physics?

Do you even watch the gameplay before trashposting?

I've seen both Sonic Generations & Sonic Mania you know, and there still both very clunky.

Peach / Girl Bomber: Tackle with a hip attack, but try not to miss.

Just admit that you never played any of those games.

Anyone with some common sense can notice the difference in feel between the two games, and Mania is, unsurprisingly, much more fluid and responsive. It also does a multitude of other things way better than Generations, but that's for another topic...lol.

Ease up on the salt, bud.

Common sense tells me that they play about the same.
