Can lowriders make good defenders?

I have been running two variants of the lowrider
1
custer
Arm spacer
g10
Lee
4 fauses (2 on the pit, 2 on the gen)
2 msk 200 ar's

pretty standard except for the AR's
the other one is extremely strange but is very effective
custer/meade
arm spacer
g10
Lee
6 tarakian or morskovian AR's (3 on either side)
1 Kass/other Sal Kar 6 pack rockets

These are both durable and hard hitting but they can't take as much of a pounding from snipers, any other lowrider builds that could make good Defenders?

had a similar discussion in the IRC chat earlier today. in short: nades > lowriders, and lowriders are no longer the swiss army knife that they once were. yes theyr good in certain applications, and imo they are one of the best damned support hounds in existence, but they are too often the paper to someone elses scissors.

That all depends on who you're fighting...if it's a 1v1, a LR wins...

But on S. Cemo I've beeten all lowriders with it (them).

So far on S. Cemo when I run the TS I've always been able to range and strip lowriders. The funny thing is, is that so far for me any lowriders never tried to win on coms or range my hill. The ones that have tried to range "I" hill have sucked at it.

Perhaps we will meet in S.Cemo some day and we can see how it works out. I typically will set up the match and wait for others to join so I don't have to deal with the Disco Nation.
