You can host videos on Photobucket.com, as well as photos and images: it's all free and it's easy to organize things, I can attest to how useful it is XD .

You really should convert them to a smaller size, youtube is pretty much perfect once you do that.

While it is true that 5 gig videos will have more quality than a 50 Meg one, you'll find that you don't actually lose that much quality when you convert it to (for example) MPEG. On the plus side, you save everyone else a good five hours of downloading. :P
