    Default Frequent Disconnection problem

I recently started playing this game, and I suffer from frequently getting booted offline. It's very frustrating, especially since it almost always happens in the middle of an important game. It typically happens after I've been online for 45 minutes to an hour, but it's happened as quick as 5 minutes after logging on... and occassionally I can be on for over 2 hours before it happens. Can anyone offer any help?

I'm using broadband, and am connected through a cable to a D-Link router which is hooked to one pc and wirelessly to 3 laptops in my household. ANY suggestions would be greatly appriciated! Thanks!

Does this happen only with your gaming system or with all the computers

your probibly on dial up. 3 ways to fix this if your on dial up. get the bba and get a ethernet type internet acount set up, or get a second line and use that for playing online. or better yet! tell every single person you know not to call you. youle call them.

I shut off all the computers, but I still got disconnected (less than 10 minutes after getting online too). I emailed Sega and they said try running the cable modem into the Gamecube without the router, but I doubt think that's the problem either since I've been playing online for over a year and the disconnections just started a week ago.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm desperate! I love PSO, but if this keeps up I'm not going to bother renewing my HL...

it could be your provider. you may not no this but they can go in and set stuff so certain sites slow down or you get an error instead. my isp company did that all the time about 3 years ago. there also could be mabe a damaged part of your cord or there could be some worm virus in your isp's servers. many differn't posibiblitys.

Your problems are indicative of router issues. I would still try connecting directly from your modem into your GameCube. Always helps to isolate as many variables as possible....
