I bought it. And, I regret it. I was TOTALLY hyped on this game from the get go, but after a few levels, you see all its shortcommings. In theory, it should be an ok game, but the repetitiveness of it makes it drag after a while.

Basically its sold on the super gory and violent cut scenes. But that about all it is. Its kinda looks GTA esque and has the same vice city graphics, and same clipping problems. Same controls as GTA too.

BAsically the whole game revolves around you being a serial killer, who goes to be executed. Your givin the lethal injection and wake up later not dead. Someone pulled some strings and saved your life. But puts to work for his slasher/ snuff film industry. He hires gangs to track you down, and in turn you hunt them down and kill them in super violent scenes.

Problem is the game is SO REPETITIVE. BAsically every level is the same. Hide in the shadows ala Splinter Cell (you have the darkness gauge in MANHUNT too) and wait for someone to walk by, and you kill them. And when you kill off all the gang members, the levels over. Basically EVERY TIME you hide in the shadows, knock on the wall, a guard gets spooked, and you kill him. Over and OVER and Over and OVER Over and OVER.
Man, I paid 50 bones for that game, and played it about 12 hours and hated it....

It's a very poor game... I played it with a friend (well, we took turns), and there's hardly anything that makes it worth buying.

For heaven's sake, it even borrows sound effects from Grand Theft Auto 3!

I've heard that it runs on an early GTA3 engine... it's that bad.

I wouldnt say that because it looks better than GTA. The areas are way better looking, allthough its all at night. The chars are all better looking too. Its a ton smoother and doesnt have the jaggies GTA does. It however does have that clipping problem when you`re too close to a wall and sometimes the wall disapears kinda thing going on.... The only problem with the game is the gameplay. Imagine GTA without the missions, and you`re on the right path.....
