Also on SA2... um... yeah, it hasd a nice story. SA's was all right, I guess... well... actually... now that I think about it... the each- character- having- their- own- story thing was much cooler than just the three storylines in SA2B. But I'm more hooked on SA2B. Because... as much as I liked both Shadow and Gamma, I liked Shadow better. Cause Gamma's death in SAX isn't that sad... there's no speech... at all. And if there is I somehow went deaf for a few minutes... that, and the Chao won't freaking stay put for me in DX, and you raise them by using animals, which also sucks.
Agreed. SADX kick's SA2's :):):):) story wise. But a story isn't exactly what makes a game.

I was stuck on the Lost World emblems forever, also some of the sky deck ones.

And no for the sa2 thingy. Lets say maybe 6 or so hours. -nya

I found sa's gameplay uber better. -nya

SADX is a pile of cr@p. It is by far the glitchest game I had ever played on the gamecube. That graphics look better, but for no reason(at least no reason of what I can think of) sadx drops it's framerate dramatically from 60fps to 30fps(sometimes to 20fps), not to mention it HAS MORE SLOWDOWN THEN THE DREAMCAST VERSION!!!

Not to mention, the Sound effects in Sadx are horrible as well.
Why did they change the sound of the rings like that? Why did they keep those annoying sega genesis sound effects?

Plus there is those damn fishing missions? Why are there boring :):):):) fishing levels? I never understood that.

One of my biggest beefs with the game is the damn adventure feilds!!!
Wtf man? I want to run through some levels, why do I have to stop go look around some city/ruins/eggship just to look for my next level? Supermario 64 rip off anyone?

The newly added "mission mode" is not only corny, but it's hardly challanging.

So whats the big deal over getting the "Dx: Directors cut version" for?
Gamegear games? Something you can easilly download anyway!!!(not like you should bother anyway, cause the gamegear games are teh suck)

This goes without saying that sadx has little to no replay value to it other then chao raising, and guess what....you can do that on sa2b as well.

Not that I hated sonic adventure, but let's face it, that type of gameplay is beyond dated. It was a great sonic game....when it came out almost 6 years ago!!!

Sa2b was better then the dreamcast version in almost ever fashion, and was virtually glitch free.

It had better graphics, better framerate, better 2p vs. mode, more options, better way to raise chao, better kart racing, you name it.

In comparasion to sadx, sa2b actually looks and plays like a gamecube game. They(sonic team) put in more particle effects into the game from the dreamcast days. (i.e. the rain in white jungle, the leaves in green forest, the better looking water in metal harbor, etc.), sadx recived no new particle effects, and really didn't look anything other then a glorified dreamcast game.

Here's yet another reason why sa2b was better...No friggin playing fields, instead, replaced by cool cutscences that you can skip.. You can't skip boring playing fields in sadx. Yeah, sadx takes longer to beat, not because it's harder, it's because for more then 50% of the time, your not even playing a board, your exploring some stupid adventure feild!!!
At least I can play through a whole story of sa2b...Everytime I play sadx, I end up fallying alseep with the constant roaming around playing fields, hoping to god it will eventually lead me into AN ACTUAL LEVEL!!!.
The shooting missions are much better on sa2b then sadx as well.
Sadx is shoort mission that require not skill really. You don't even play for that long...
At least with sa2b, your challanged by enimes and large numbers of targets.

And really, who even plays sadx anymore?
I find myself all the time playing sa2b with friends in 2p modes, and kart races. Were as sadx, once you beat the game, that's it.

That's another thing that bothers me...
Sa2b, you got all the emblems, you got an extra stage(well worth it)

What did you get for getting all the emblems? NOTHING...
It's really no comparison really. Sadx has a better story....but it pretty much ends there.

Guess what SA2B had more slow down times than SA2. I found at least all the copies I played, of SADX smooth as all silk. -nya

I always hated the SA2 cutscenes, mainly because the best was extremely cheesy, worst than even the worst parts of SA. Plus on SA2/B when thei rmouth open sometimes there not even talking and it looks even more strange than SA/DX. -nya

    lol, suuure.....

It'd be pretty hard to beat SA2B in a day...unless you played nonstop for about 8 hours straight.

And SADX is not harder than SA2....unless you suck at that game and I don't, and vice versa.

I think your just hating on the game, really.
Exactly, there is not real challange to the levels, or the extra missions for that matter. Sadx is super easy. most of the time, your not even faced with any enimes, you can pretty much go to the goal with little or no distraction

Yeah, once might say that sa2b isn't harder to beat a level, but it is harder to beat a level and get an "A" rank to it.
Sadx just wants you to collect rings, not even in a time limit, just collect rings and beat the board, or beat the board, within a time limit...
Plus there is hard mode to the levels as well for sa2b.

Sadx is such an easy game it's not even funny.
I'm serious it's not funny, espesically when you take into consideration that the hardest form of gameplay is big's Fishing levels.

There both easy games... its just it took me a long time to find all the faster ways through Lost World to beat the timed mission. -nya

Actually I was having this exact conversation with rice, and you know what, there isn't any more slowdown then the dreamcast version, there is actually less. Slowdown in sa2b is nearly non existant.
As for sadx, unless your talking about sadx on a super powerful pc(not the gamecube version), your lieing if your saying it ran smooth, because I can't go thought even 1/2 a level without running into huge framerate dippings and giant amount of lag.
Dreamcast had lag, but wasn't even that much, and you can actually still go on without worring about slowing down so much.

Lost world was not only easy, but it was boring.

Finding stupid switches so you can walk on the blocks on the walls, that was boring.
Riding the stone snake to find 3 switches just to go on to the next room, that was boring.
Moving mirrors just to see your path unveiled, that was not only boring, but it was unnessarry.

The you take into conderation all the boring stuff that lead up to it, like having to find the two statues in the mystic ruins just to play in that level.

At least though, you can skip it, and go on to the next level. I perfer that over running around some stupid playing feild looking for a green or blue statue just to go to my next level.

I would much rather look for hidden passages buttons that open the way then just run through a level. -nya
