If by "Fun" you mean not getting :):):):)y pants, not shouting and talking :):):):) to people, not going into an outrage over a video game, then yeah. I'll be playing for fun. Honestly, I have bigger things to be serious about than getting sand in my :):):):):):) over what happens in a game thats meant for entertainment.

    Default Serious

    My definitions are as followed

Fun-Playing the game with no real concern over the outcome of the match.

Serious- Playing the game with a drive to win at all costs(other than cheating).

By these definitions i would be playing this game seriously.

With this kind of slow paced game where tactics and teamwork will most likely the main draw of the game, i think you will find more serious gamers than ones playing for fun.

I find that 'serious' players are just real :):):):):)s about it. Like losing a match is a notch on their life or something, and on the flipside, when they win, they're real :):):):):):):)s about it.

I can have fun, and be focused enough to want to win, and really give it all I've got, but I'll be damned if I'm going to get all :):):):)y if the match is lost. The fun comes from playing the game, not winning it all the time. I think alot of gamers lose sight of whats important, and it's not the ratio of wins to losses, it's the great time you had getting the losses just as much as the victories.

Basically, if you're going to be a :):):):):) about winning or losing, you need to be doing something else with your life, maybe get some priorities down, realize you're just playing a game thats meant to entertain.

Not talking about anyone in particular, just what I've come across in all my years of online(and offline) gaming since the days of Atari.

Do you like football, baseball, soccer...they get :):):):)ed off over games ALL the time. It's the same thing as getting mad at a videogame. It's all about how strong your competitive drive is.

And just to address your point about "the point of games is fun not winning"...It is for SOME people. For others games are a competitive sport.

I agree, it is based on the competitive drive of each person. But you can be competitive and not be an :):):) about it, win or lose. I've been in plenty of intense matches, but I never lost my temper to the point of taking it out on others, or putting others down in a fit of trash talking.

In the end, we're all abunch of people playing on a screen, no big deal.

I'm solidly in the fun category. Though of course if I'm home alone and get shot down I might well turn off the mic and scream for a minute about how I should have have killed that SOB before he even noticed me.
