need help with my computer please....

ok so basically I had windows XP for a long time and was happy with it until my bro decided to get a virus on it that made it not want to boot up at all so since I had lost my XP disc I had to switch to Ubuntu Linux. I have been so used to Linux that now I have finally got a new XP sp2 CD and installed it on my computer I can't get a bunch of stuff to work...

THE QUESTIONS:
ok I just installed it and everything but it says my Product Key is invalid... any idea where I can get another one.... [size4=]for free preferably...[/size]

also my speakers aren't working at all when they were working fine with ubuntu, my friend said something about installing the drivers blah blah, you guys know what he means?

and also I believe I have the same problem with my graphics card, since I switched back to Windows my computer is all laggy andcrappy where it was amazing before.

Any help is greatly appreciated...

my recommendation is to go back to Ubuntu, if you don't want to try reinstalling xp on a clean hdd, if that still fails, try looking up the drivers you need online

Well if your install of XP wasn't official in the first place, there's nothing you can do to get a key unless you somehow come across an OEM copy or key, which aren't easy to find. You can look, but the legality is questionable.

As far as giving you a key, nah. If you like XP, buy it. If you don't get some other OS that's free but can't play most of your games or run most of your programs. That's life telling you to take what you can get and customize the crap out of it until it does what you want it to do.

You cannot make discussion of "free product keys" that you obtain online here. As far as I know, they are considered pirating; therefore, forbidden to discuss that here.

You're better off just sticking with Linux, it is far more protected against viruses than Windows. If you're desperate to get XP back on your PC, you might just have to buy the product key

i gotta really say your most likely better of buying a new xp. I'm a computer tech so its simple for me to get a OS but getting them online is more than a pain.
