HELP! Can't Get To 2 Player Option

I bought this game for my kids who love Sonic. However, they were used to playing the Sonic the Hedgehog (new) version, which gave you a multi-player option. We can't find this on this game so they can both play using their controllers. HELP!!! I've looked through the manual and still can't find it.

Sonic 2 and 3 has a multiplayer mode.To activate the second player simply press a with the second controller as the main credits roll.And scoll down to 2 player game.You can also controll tails in Sonic 2 and 3's 1 player options.

I had that problem too when I was playing Golden Axe. Those Xboxes can be unclear with that stuff. Maybe PS3 as well. The Sonic Adventure games are good in their own right as well.

The first one is only sonic in it,not anyone else can you ever play 2 sonicz????(lol i just had to put a z in it XD!)no,it lookz rediculuz,so play Sonic 2 and 3 for multiplayer,and i've never had a proplem with this game!
