Default Sonic and Sega All Star Racing with Banjo Kazooie.

Hey Sumo/Sega... Why don't you try and come up with a more long winded stupid name? I dare you!

Seriously wtf is with this? I don't mind that Banjo-Kazooie is in the game taking a valuable character spot that could have gone to a much more deserving Sega character... I don't even mind that hes on the cover blocking out Tail...

But for the love of god what a stupid ****ing name? Why not just go all out and put ALL of their names in the title?

I'm really irritated by that name, it just screams 'cash in'... Sega All-Star Racing would have been FINE Sonics on the bloody cover art anyway! Even Sega All-Star Racing with Banjo Kazooie is reasonable... Since they arent Sega characters.

But as it is, retarded name and it makes me feel like the game is just a cheap peace of crap.

I agree, I hated the name 'Sonic and Sega All-Stars' from the beginning. I prefer the REAL name, Sega Superstars Racing. Why drop the 'Sega Superstars' name? 'All-Stars' is just too common. And Sonic's name in the title was super unnecessary.

SEGA used the title "SEGA All-Stars" for their re-releases of Genesis games way back in the 90s! The superstars name originated from a really not very good tech demo.

Whatever happened to the days of games called just Hockey, or Frog? Honestly I think such a long name is going to make it seem cheaper than anything, it will turn some potential customers away.

Banjo is not "taking up" a character spot, he will be in the game with 20 other characters like the store information said, because he is going to be DLC.

And Sonic's name in the title is there so it will sell better because kids and soccer moms will recognize Sonic. Shark and Mulberry, both you seriously need to grow a brain sometime, because we've been through this countless times but you can't seem to memorize it.

Why would he be DLC when he is on the cover? Wouldn't that be false advertising?

Well obviously it would be free DLC that they'd release on day one. The leak a few months ago specifically said that platform exclusive characters would be DLC, which is probably why the Wii version got delayed, because they have to add Mario due to lack of DLC support on the Wii.

That makes no sense to me honestly. Not everyone who owns an Xbox 360 has access to the internet, why would they do that? It is still false advertising. If they were doing it the way you say, they would just put a sticker on it mentioning it or something.

I just think Microsoft asked SEGA for something exclusive, anything that would make their version seem like the definitive one. What better way is there to plug a slumping franchise than in a sure fire hit game?

So SEGA asked Sony and Nintendo if they were interested in this too no doubt, but I am pretty certain that this is going to be a Xbox 360 only thing, no Mario and Sackboy this time most likely.

People who don't have their 360s connected to the internet obviously aren't who they're aiming this game towards, as said people only use their 360 as an HD movie player or something if they don't have it connected. Besides, the vast, VAST majority of 360 owners ARE connected to the internet, as has been proven elsewhere, so really this is a non-issue.

Okay, aside from the downright ridiculous and illogical assumption that Sega is going to bother to go through all the legal crap just to get ONE guest character for only ONE console, I really don't think that's the case. As has been said here, the Wii version still has exclusive features yet to be revealed, which are quite obviously Mario and motion controls. Add to that the fact that all this information regarding console-exclusive characters came from leaked documents from a meeting Sega had with Sony in the first place, and you've got every single console covered for exclusive content. Sorry but console-exclusive characters for each version are definitely confirmed by all these developments at this point, and if you can't see that, you're an idiot.

Steve Lycett already said that they have no intention of having the different game versions lopsided, he's doing his best to make sure they're all as close to equal as possible. Therefore the other systems will no doubt have guest characters as well, so it's not even a question of "if" anymore. Just a question of "who", and I think we all know the answer to that.
