Default Sega: If you care about this game, you will DELAY it!!

Look, I'll be honest, I just learned about this game. A friend showed me some gameplay video and a trailer. It looks good! I love how action packed the turn-based system is. It has great graphics and the cg spots make it look epic!

Just one, little problem........YOU ARE RELEASING IT ON THE SAME DAY AS FINAL FANTASY XIII!!!

Are you insane?!!! Do you not realize how HUGE this other game is?!! Why not release Bayonetta on the same day as God of War III while you're at it?!! Please do us all a big favor and delay it. Preferably May/June when all the FF fanatics will have finished the game and be craving for something else. Seriously, why do you think so many companies delayed their games till 2010 to avoid getting hurt by sales due to the mega blockbuster that is Modern Warfare 2? Because it's a good strategy!!

Most FF fanboys/girls don't play any other jrpgs beside Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts so I don't think it matters. Only real jrpg fans and the 10 not jaded ******* Sega fans will be picking this up anyways.

    not really
in the contrary , it's ****in genius and smart

with releasing it the same day as ff13 , ff13 buyers could see the game and maybe buy it too.

of course i'll never buy ff13 because i'm not a ff slave but i hope some could see resonance in stores and bein intrigued ...

Final Fantasy XIII is getting terrible reviews right now. Reviewers are saying that FFXIII is soo ridiculously linear that it is like an "RPG on rails". They are also saying that it is impossible to backtrack, you are never able to get into a town through most of the game, all the battles are unavoidable, and there are more cutscenes than actual gameplay.

I'm looking forward to Resonance of Fate. It seems FFXIII was a trainwreck.

All I see from your post is

"WAAAH I WANT TRI-ACE TO BE MORE POPULAR THAN SE!!! WAAAH LEMME BASH THE STUPID AND FALSE RUMORS FROM OTHER FFXIII BASHERS THAT NEVER PLAYED THE GAME!!!"

FFXIII is EXTREMELY polished, the graphics are gorgeous, the voice acting and music is excellent, the battles are the most fun and difficult in the entire series, the game's characters are all incredibly developed, the game is epic, the pre-rendered CG cutscenes in the game look amazing, the game is very long, etc.

FFXIII is the exact opposite of a train wreck. It is a HUGE success. Try playing the game first, ya?

And while I'm anticipating Resonance of Fate as well, I HIGHLY doubt it's gonna be as nearly as good as FFXIII.

Oh, and stop listening to trolls that make up lies about FFXIII. It just makes you look like an idiot to people like me.

And the only reason why I think RoF is not going to be as great as FFXIII is because SEGA and tri-Ace sacrificed nearly EVERYTHING for the sake of stupid costumes.

I like SEGA, but dear God, do they have any idea how to make an RPG? I don't think so.

The game looks interesting, but because of these silly, nonsensical costumes, they ruin the game's seriousness (I know it's not manditory, but most people will change their costumes and it ruins the seriousness and epicness of the game), they ruin the game's epicness, and they take out pre-rendered CG cutscenes for the stupid costumes.

Sacrificing all this for stupid costumes is BEYOND ridiculous. Epicness is very important in an RPG, and this game basically ruined its chance for that by the developers choosing costumes over a dramatic and epic story with pre-rendered CG cutscenes.

I really hope that I'm wrong, and the game ends up having a great and exciting story along with 5+ pre-rendered CG cutscenes, and hopefully the battles are as fun and excellent as they look (and hopefully not tedious like VP2). If the game ends up having these, then maybe the game will match up to the absolute greatness of FFXIII's quality.

I'm all for defending Resonance of Fate and anticipating it, but blindly making fun of the masterpiece that is FFXIII just so you can make RoF look better is so incredibly dumb that it makes me angry and point RoF's glaring flaws in your face.

Both US and EU site for this game have the release date set to March 2010, previously one of them is dated at Q3.

Plus the strategy guide for the game is out on march 19

Guess that clinch it for a March release, well it might be a really bad marketing decision as there are like 4 other jrpg game out around that month White Knight Chronicles, Star Ocean 4, FFXIII and The Last Rebellion, I guess what Cius said is right, most of FF fanbase is the people that doesn't really look at other game so it doesn't make much difference when both game released on almost the same times both game have seperate audience, Square Enix fanboy going to buy FFXIII and Tri-Ace fans gonna buy RoF.

Also on March I am going to have something to distract myself from FF fanboy ranting about FFXIII at that month.

Hope it will sell enough copies to warrant a sequel, the series does seems to have potential to be one of Tri-Ace flagship now that according to them Star Ocean has ended.

Well although there is pretty high chance they make pick it up again later when they run out of the idea, but the producer said he is done with it already.
