dreamcast spinning trouble

i tried blowing everything,i tried turning the pedometer(whatever its called)screw to the right which i heard speeds up disc spinning.yet the disc stays put and does not turn at all so the options screen comes up everytime.when i go to play it just says insert game disc.how do i get this frikin thing spinning?i really dont want to pay another 20-30 for another system.please help!

my psone did that too and then it died

yeah i think it is because after doing that calibration thing it still only has just enough life to spin for a second and thats it.thanks for your support in this time of sorrow...
