I am so far beyond frustrated with Road to rykros 2. This is one of the most retarded missions I have ever seen in a game. I have spent a good 6 hours as a gm and another 5 as a protranser on my 170 cast and have not yet beat this a single time. 5-15 seconds late every single time with both types. gm has maxed bullets and 10/10 pakudac. PT is only level one and only using ex traps.

I am open to advice, would like to avoid "go FM" if possible because I don't like playing a fighter and that will mean leveling both fi and ff to 10 before even trying as fm. Tornado dance is at level 1 and my weapons aren't great as well so not even certain I will do much better as gm.

This seriously has me on the borderline of just telling this game to screw itself and quitting for my first and only time.

Thumbs up Reference for S ranking

AIDA, I'd like to contribute to this thread by sharing a few of my experiences with A Brighter Day 2. In the last block, as someone posted in my video, they did a test run after viewing my video, confirmed that the fully buffed Carriguine appears during the third explosion that takes place in the area. I can fully confirm that it does not appear after 10 minutes. The explosions are a clear indicator for it to appear. In a more successful run protecting Karen, while not S ranked, I found Spiral Dance to be extremely effective against the Deljaban as well as the Carruiguines instead of Tornado Dance, with correct manipulation of movement you can place a full combo on them, while drawing their attention to you and off of Karen though she does get in the way at times. When trying to S rank this mission with Tornado Dance, I wasted too much time attacking them all, and in every run, the fully buffed Carruiguine always appeared. With Spiral Dance, I reduced my time well by half of what I usually do, and prevented the last Carruiguine from spawning. I find that circling the Carruiguines work while doing this. I shall post my video for reference on this matter.

Maybe you could go fighgunner and pick up some cheap, neutral weapons. Not sure if this would be very efficient though.

I assume you are skipping all the monsters that can be skipped. Maybe there are some parts where you can use lasers instead of shotties or vice versa if lining up is time-consuming.

What is your SUV situation like? Are you getting one off? If so, how close are you to a second one?

There was another youtube video I was watching that said that the 3rd carriguine will appear once the third set of bombs go off.

My current double sabers are 36-38% all elements unground though. Gm is much much much higher priority and not rich enough to try grinding another 30ish weapons.

I tried fighgunner level one on road to rykros 1 c rank. I tried using tornado dance with correct element and... lets say it didn't even go well there. No way is level 3 TD killing anything efficiently.

I have watched all the few videos that are on youtube and have mimicked the maidenessen gm video as well as modifying on my own. By the time I get to the 2nd part I am already a good 20 seconds behind that video. It just doesn't make sense. I have 50+ levels and a 10/10 pakudac to his/her unground pakudas but yet I can't even come close to the same time for some reason. I have tried lasers as well but not twins, haven't leveled any twins yet- didn't help.

The last group of volfus really screws me up. They always spawn before I even port down and scatter all the hell over the place. The one time I had them not spawn till I ported down was my fastest time at only 5 secs behind as a PT.

My best guess for what to try next will be to level PT to 20. If I understand correctly, trap damage is increased as class levels up so that should help quite a bit (if there is any real increase in damage)

Fighmaster does it in ease. Still helpful to show you where all the switches are, and what you can skip though.

A pretty awful human fighmaster can do this, so anybody who plays fighmaster should be able to. He uses majarra a lot. I wouldn't do that, just use Tornado Dance.
Thanks to those vids you posted, I was just able to get the Edel Elym. And dus majarra > tornado dance on anything but the gaozorans and carriguines. ( I am a capped 170/20 FM using 33% light mukpromotos, just so you know.) I can also confirm that megid does not incapacitate during this trial, as I took multiple carriguine megid hits in a row only taking moderate damage. (No vijeri/resist.)
