For a serious gamer perspective, I'd agree with you, but I'm not that big of a addict so I don't see the need of getting rid of an inferior console when the others simply don't appeal to me. I bet it's the same case with many others.

The Wii's just fine to me, whether it was badly planned out or not. I value it because if it wasn't for the excuse to exchange a GameCube for it I'd probably never be part of the current gen of consoles now. Saying right away it's inferior hurts seeing as I'm not the wealthiest of people around, hence I prefer to call for individual subjectivity because that way everyone's happy.

Lastly, yeah, I never understood why Nintendo likes to be one step behind at performance all the time. Started with the GCN, same thing goes on with the Wii. Wouldn't it be easier to work a tad harder on the system rather than make it the smallest and cheapest thing possible? It works if it's interesting, but for a dedicated gamer it starts to feel bland after a while. I agree it could have a bit more to it.

Heres some craaaazy info

Outcomes for the 360 and PS3 versions:
- Game gets patched
- Leaderboards wiped
- Everything back to normal

Outcomes for the Wii version:

- Outcome 1
-- Leaderboards get wiped
-- All the insanely low scores come instantly back
-- Wii leaderboards always have insanely low scores

- Outcome 2
-- Sumo Digital disables the Wii leaderboards.

... which has nothing to do with the new glitch whatsoever, old stuff that can't be dealt with unless whoever is in charge of managing the Top 30 tables removes them.

S0L, some people just had an excuse to bring the old "Which console is better argument" and derail the topic basically. Sure, it's a shame Wii won't likely get a patch to fix this*, but I guess the tendency for mankind is to go all out harsh since, y'know, they are hidden by Internet aliases and stuff. Wii's inferior, cool, but I can't be bothered with PS3/360 regardless of if patches will make them look cool, it's all preference stuff, which is oddly a favourite thing to dispute for in online message boards knowing it gives pointless ramble nonetheless.

If anything I'd like to know what's SEGA answer about it though. The glitch is definitely game breaking, takes away the point of racing once people know how to do it.

*(I could always imagine someone making a SSASR Channel though, much in style of the Mario Kart Channel, which allows download-able stuff to be transferred and loaded into or as a separate mandatory Save file; AKA imagination \o/)

Whilst you're busy bashing the Wii - I've just cleared all the hacked times and glitch times from the Wii leaderboards :P

I've got a log of the folk doing them too. Don't make me break out the ban hammer :P

Just looking into the other platforms now.
