Anyway speaking of Unleashed I found a video where some animations are tested on her 3-D model:

Amy was completely ruined when Adventure 1 came out. Sally needs to be made canon (as i'm sure has been stated before)

People always seem to forget that Sally was in that Spinball game, thus making her a game character... I prefer the Archie/Satam universe, but maybe Sally would'nt fit in gameplay wise...
A fan of any Sonic canon, especially the comic universe and Satam.

Well, shoot. If she really does want to go adventuring with Sonic, I guess he really is being a jerk.

    ...

I still wouldn't have him any other way, though.
I'm an optimist. Deal with it.
I beat the Time Eater without a guide.

Would you really wanna take a girl that would be spending half her time fawning over you? I can kind of see where Sonic's coming from, if Amy toned herself down a bit, I doubt Sonic wouldn't mind her as much.

To be fair she only fawns over Sonic during the initial contact (usually around the first 10 seconds), after that she usually acts cool around him. Maybe going back to play the games will refresh your memory. (maybe now you see why I say Amy should have more interaction with Sonic instead of always excluding her from the team. Had such approach had been done more constantly the way she is perceived would be different... then again this IS the Sonic fanbase so maybe I'm giving them too much credit in the first place)

Ah, thinking that Amy was different in the classic era to the point of her being a different character is one of those misconceptions that people have. To be honest in the old games other than her being a fan of Sonic there was not much of a personality (and the one she had in the Shogakukan manga wasn't that different from the one she has today). As for ruining her I don't se how that plays since it was Adventure 1 which set and defined all of her personality traits (basically the definitive Amy considering that SA1 retconned and redefined many aspects of the franchise in generall) leading to one of the most likeable and entertaining characters characters in the franchise (Sega's and even the comic's writters (tough he last ones seem to do it on purpose) not being able to get a grasp of how she is supposed to act, along with an inconsistent writting are some of the factors that sent her, along with pretty much everyone to a downhill)

Said interaction also includes glomping and fangirling, Like I said perhaps if she didn't tackle him to the ground everytime she saw him, Sonic wouldn't be that critical(I'm not saying she SHOULD tone it down, I was just trying to see the situation from Sonic's POV).

Yes more interactions are NEEDED, but that's probably what's going to happen, I mean I dunno Colors gave me a little bit of hope, so maybe I'm just being skeptical.

True, however those two aspects are also part of the package of a character that is supposed to be a 12 year old kid (I'd agree that there would be a serious issue if she was the age ofRouge and acted that way). The tackling down to the ground is a exageration here since it's not like she jumps towards Sonic, pinning him down into the ground like Dino does with Fred Flinstone. And while the argument of Sonci's POV is valid, the picture is incomplete if you do not take into account Amy's own POV as well(which is somethign that is done in the fanbase with a regular basis and one of the many reasons she is misurdestood). For example most of their encounters and interactions usually are very short when compared to how much time Tails spends with Sonic. asking to keep Amy from directly interacting with him is like throwing more gasoline into a fire, it keeps the problem going (and even makes it worse) instead of solving the issue. so it's perfectly understandable that she acts a bit too cheerful whenever she finds him, and while it may also give the impression that she is clingy, you also have to take into consideration that Sonic is one of the few characters that have acted as a source of ispiration and support in her life, like being saved from death, which pretty much left a strong and idealized image of Sonic in her mind and heart.

Honestly the only way she would be less fangirlish and all that is if both characters interacted more and became more familiar with each other, however overdoing this also brings up the risk of turning it into a routine, whch pretty much would eliminate those little things that makes their chemistry and interactions so special.

Well Sonic doesn't actively avoid Tails now does he?I understand why Amy acts the way she does, but that doesn't mean Sonic should like it. Basically my problem with people is:

If Sonic runs or tries to avoid Amy, he's seen as a jerk by the Sonamy shippers, despite the fact that he has some justification for it, being uniterested and whatnot.

While Amy is usually painted as annoying or clingy because of her interactions, but she's only twelve and obviously still immature.

So yes like you said it can be accounted to lack of civil interaction between the two.
