Default Brayko is a show stopper.

    Ok.

So I am on day 3 of trying to kill Brayko.

No forward momentum. Just stuck in this same horrible spot.

    This is just silly.

I am losing the will to keep going.

Anybody have any tips or anything. Google doesn't help much.

yea.. i jus beat brayko and ummm... no lie, I had to do it in a less than honorable way. Bring a good Assualt rifle if u can and your pistol with atleast chain shot basic on it... But if u are already there and cannot get these things, then try this out...

when its just one on one, take good cover and just shoot this guy. Im assuming youre having the problems when brayko "powers up"... this is the less than honorable part i was referring to... when he charged at me, i turned tail and ran like a little girl LoL.. when I got some good distance from him, i turned and shot a couple times.. rinse and repeat until brayko kneels on one knee from exhaustion... then unload on him.

this is a good time for chain shots but, if you do not have your pistol, use whatever weapon you have that produces the most bang for your buck.... (dont get close and try martial arts because it doesnt do enough damage to effect brayko b4 he gets up and disappears...) when he does teleport, keep an eye on him and take shots whenever you can to keep his shields down. While doing this... make sure you are on one side of the room, preferably in front of one of the doors where brayko's goons come out because in my experience, they do not spawn on the side you are on. Make no mistake tho, you are going to have to use alot of ammo so be aware of the ammo boxes on the ground.

And when you get brayko hurt (meaning lowering his shields to expose his health bar) make sure u try to keep constant fire on him and keep him out of cover because thats when he usually "powers up"... Once you get the hang of this strategy, you start to get in a little groove with it. You will start to see what you need to do in his different "moods"... hope this helps..

    Thanks Luck,

Tried your tips. Tried some others on other sites. Kept the goons dead. Ran away from Brayko until he was on his knees and kept his armor down.

It just ain't happening for me.

Which is pretty disappointing. I was loving the momentum of this game and it just hit a wall.

I can't do it. I hate cheat codes, but there is no way I can finish this guy.

I got super super close one time and thought I would have him soon. Moved up to kill a goon from behind, hit the space bar and my dude went into locked cover instead of killing the goon and the goon ate me for breakfast.

    sigh.

Here is how I did it, chain shot rank 5, stealth, chain shot rank 5, win.
If you are doing ti early game though you might need to come back later, he is very tough for an early character.

    Wow.

    Finally.

    That was frustrating.

I had not stocked up on armor piercers or anything of value. Been heavy melee and was useless on him.

Just rained bullets when I could and ran around like a headless chicken.

I, too, was getting frustrated with Brayko after spending two sessions trying to take him down.

Somehow, the game gave me a break on this one and I don't know if it can be reproduced or not. It's very likely a game bug/glitch, but, under the circumstances, I'd take anything that would help.

Here's what finally happened for me:

From the stage, after several laps around the room and taking out several of the goons, I had Brayko at about 60% health. So, I noticed a dropdown icon from the stage. I used that dropdown and ran to one of the areas with a cache of ammo.

For some reason, Brayko thought I must have disappeared beneath the stage because he kept running in place and shouting profanities at me. He did this while I took shot after shot after shot...restocked ammo and kept at it until he finally gave up.

While all this was going on, there were no more spawning goons so it was just between him and me.

Yeah, I know it's not the way it was meant to be played, but, like I said, after two sessions with this guy, I was just glad to be able to move on.

If anyone else wants to try this, please post whether it causes Brayko to get stuck in that location and animation.

I'm now in Rome....doing what the Romans do.

After the first boss in saudi arabia, I decided to relocate all my points to the assault rifle. No problems with any boss since then. Bryako was no different, I was wearing a good armour, so most of the time he didn't damage me, and for his melee attacks, run, I have no idea if you can counter him with your fists, at that point I was lvl 1 on that so I didn't even try, it would be cool if you could

I just finished a hard/recruit playthrough and hit a wall with Brayko after first starting in Moscow. Frustrated, I moved back to my safehouse save and went up against Rome, then Taipei. By the end, I was able to take him out without too much problem - still tough, but I had more tools and experience to make it better as well as some help from contacts in other zones that opened up new opportunities in the level (this really surprised me).

My advice for those with this same problem or other perceived showstoppers in game is to move around, skill up, earn better gear, forge some alliances, and you'll be in a better position to return.

I did find that hard was especially challenging in the early levels, and recruit only made it harder. I'm curious what build you had and what difficulty you had when you encountered Brayko.

I had a great deal of trouble with Brayko at first (I'd end up using both the health stations in the room and the packs I brought with me, and I'd only managed to knock him down to half health when I died). Even running away didn't help at first, because he could run faster than I could, so he'd always catch up and slash me to ribbons. But after a few tries, I came up with a strategy that worked (and very well -- I took almost no health damage at all, just armour damage):

First, make sure you've got some decent armour. Even if you've been playing a mostly-stealth character, this whole mission is a big run-and-gun-fest anyway (there's not much room for stealth), so you're better off going for high damage resistance over quiet.

Second, stock up on some heavy-hitting ammo for your favourite weapon (but don't use it at first).

When starting out with Brayko on the stage, just take pot shots at him with regular ammo as he ducks out of cover. Eventually he'll snort coke and go psycho, at which point you need to run for one of the stage staircases.

Here's the most important thing: even if you run in circles, he'll catch up to you and slice you to bits; the trick is to run in a figure 8. Once you're on the stage, go to the front and use the drop-down point, then immediately run back up the opposite staircase, then drop down again and use the original staircase. This keeps him at a safe distance. Keep doing this until he falls down (when you can take a few shots at him with heavy ammo if you're quick enough) or there's a flash of light and he disappears up into the balcony.

When that happens, I found it best to stay on the stage and take cover behind one of the low speakers in the middle, alternating between taking shots at the mooks using regular ammo and shots at Brayko using heavy ammo. You might need to make a run for one of the side alcoves to get ammo occasionally; try to time that for immediately after the flash (so Brayko is on the balcony) and gun down the mooks as you're running towards it, then get back on the stage before Brayko snorts coke again (if he catches you in an alcove, you're toast).

I got through it on recruit, easy, level 8, assault rifle (with no AR skill). (Interestingly this one fight gave me enough XP to get to level 10, so I definitely think they're intending for you to try it later in the game.)

Edit: I should probably add that I didn't actually have heavy-hitting ammo at that point (but I think it'd help). I did have good armour though.
