Default Question relating to Skies of Arcadia

This has been bugging me for some time as to what was lost in the conversion over to GCN. I know the music was compress to save disk memory, but the VMU features were the main part being removed entirely. What else ended up being taken out?

There was also a reduced random battle rate, but that's a good thing.
Looking forward to the best games? Too late; they were released years ago.

That too I noticed! It always kept me from wanting to explore the game properly.

A GameCube ROM disc holds up to 1.5GBs. A Dreamcast GD-ROM disc only held 700MBs.

The audio was indeed compressed on the GC version. They put the GC version on 1-disc, while the DC version was on 2-discs.

It really was a good thing though, it helped in making the game much less frustrating to explore.

They added tons though, everywhere from bounty hunting missions, to the encounters with Piastol, more discoveries, and others.

The music may have been compressed but it does not sound any worse than the DC version.
    There are always possibilities...

Eh....music sounds noticeably muffled when compared to the DC version, but it's still great music so it's not a huge problem.

I was always wondering what version to get, the GC version has nice stuff added but the DC only has so many RPGs worth playing. =/

Just play what you want and don't let others get in the way of that. Even if you are looking forward to that One in particular, I'm just not gonna touch it anytime soon.

Original GD are 1 GB, two discs = 2 GB vs 1,5 GB of the mini DVD. Pirated DC games were compressed, audio ripped (or CDA tracks cut), or divided in different discs (ever played Grandia 2 pirated? insert Disc 2 to watch this movie lol)

And the music did sound awful at moments on Legends, specially some atrocious MIDI sounding effects, but the GC version had better 3D models, but worse textures... I say get and play both, and the japanese version too since all western versions were slightly censored.
