    Dude... that's terrible.
Having difficulty grasping the fact AVP '10 turned out to be the superior game in almost every respect.

Default Its is now 2012 =/

Im suprised alot of you have given up with faith in an AVP franchise so strong, im a fan of AVP and as soon as I posted what they did on their facebook fanpage, they removed it, simply because they didnt want their precious fanbase dissipating. We all need to pull together and keep pushing sega on and on, sooner or later if they do not meet the customers demand, they will go bankrupt, purely because nobody will want to buy a game with the brand name SEGA on it. it is the new year, 2012, people still play AVP I can find alot of people to play with on the console versions, maybe SEGA's new years resolution, can be to grow a pair, and do something about their inevitible fate.

Nice bump. 2 years later and we still get no support. The only logical solution would be to close the servers already since Sega's still too cheap to put their money behind fixing anything. Don't worry, we'll hack up some dedicated servers/patches on our client side. We'll be more then happy to continue playing this without your influence.

Btw, compare yourselves to Capcom and Netherrelm's show of support for their communities... I'll give you a cookie if you can figure out what's so wrong with the picture here.

So... AVP.... lack of funding for patch 5.... and yet, look at how ACM is turning out. How's that karma feel?

    Default AVP being updated?

I have also noticed that AVP has been being updated, with very minor small patches, whos patching it? two noticible changes I have seen is the new mission timer in the campaign, and the AI have been improved in campaign as well.

    any1 got any ideas? lol

    Crazy

I need a better reason than a timer to re-download-re-install this cr..., I mean this game on my rig again.

Now all focus on Gearbox ACM and their troloOOloLOloLolOLolOL alien warriors that suck even more than Rebellion's. Some new pic has been unveiled on the net btw, giving us some more details on future GB evil plans for DLC and such, just to split the community into two when the time comes; they too seem to care "a lot" about their online comminity you know

to be honest with you, i dont know about everyone else, but im definately not gonna buy colonial marines purely because of what they did to AVP 2010, its disgraceful to on such an incredible, well known and fantastic franchise, a year or two back, every1 said they wouldnt go near A:CM, is everyone gonna make their stand? or is every1 gonna out and b um sega and give them more money and let them con you again? im standing up for one of my beloved franchises, and i WILL NOT let SEGA screw me and everybody else over again, what about everyone else?

So I'd like to just keep this thread going as a complaining ground for us that still play this game. Sega, if you were only going to go halfway, why not just shut the game down completlely so that no on can play online and scream about the game? You enjoy the fact that people complain and probably laugh at it when you see it. I'm tired of seeing all of these glitches in the game, I've seen people falling through the maps and dying recently, and when they die it's the symbol of being crushed by the wall, but that can't happen on Gateway. So why do you do this Sega? You went half assed at best and decided to bend us over and use us. Just shut the game down if you wanted to screw with us, but no, you wanted to be parasites and leave it open incase some people would come along and buy the game and DLC. You still get money, you just don't do anything for it.

I think it's sad I know full well how corporate minds think and that they still have their claws dug into my favorite franchise. How much longer do I have to wait till their license expires?!?

    Default Private funded update

I know this thread is ancient and that probably nothing can be done anymore, but I'd like to make a suggestion. I'm doing this since I am a major AVP fan and I know this game can still be played within 5 years just like the other games in the series.

    My suggestion:
What if we can round up enough people to fund an update? If there are enough volunteers maybe we can reach a sufficient amount or get lucky and find a wealthy and willing player. If we could get this money directly to Rebellion, SEGA would not need to be involved.

If any developers read this I would like to know if this is at all possible and how much funds we would need to gather. Also further details woud be important.

There are only 3 things I'd really like to change for the console version of the game:
    1) Join in progress ability for player matches
    2) Adjustable species ratios settings in Player created Species Team Deathmatch
    3) Minor balancing:
    - melee stuns/drops
    - lock-on for Trophy/Assasinate kills

If at all possible I would also like to see the flares in Multiplayer, I don't see a reason why they would not be in MP, even slightly modified.

Please everyone consider that this would probably be the only way we can get some more updates from Rebellion. If this were to succeed I would think it would catch on to other games who were way to good to be forgotten. It might even spawn a chance in publishers approach on the quality of their games or support.
This section of entertainment overly populated by crappy releases and lack of support can use a fresh wind that could change the scene completly.

Patches are like what.... $20k? $40k? I hate to say this, but for what they could have fixed before, that boat sailed out a long time ago. They had their chance and they blew it.
