The fact is, you do not run the company that would potentially buy SEGA out, you would have no say in what they do with it. Comparing it to WWE and WWC is irrelevant, as I see no reason WWE would buy SEGA. If you are at least going to introduce an new argument into this debate/conversation at least make sure it has something to do with gaming, not with wrestling. Give me an example that would prove Nintendo and Sony would cease to let SEGA be an semi-independent company (just having some involvement in what happens with the games they produce.) Also if the company did pump out 30 more Sonic game like Mario, why are you complaining? I never had an issue with any Mario games I've played nor have anyone I ever talked to, it would also mean more Sonic games which no one could say they would dislike. Having the company bought out would still mean it was SEGA, I doubt they would fire every employee along with it if they did so so it will still retain the essence of being the original SEGA, sometimes change is not a bad thing you know.
I guess giving you an Analogy does not work. I never said WWE was going to buy Sega I said WWE and WCW were rivals. WWE bought out WCW and that was the end of WCW. Just like what is being suggested here with another rival Company buying out Sega. And fYI there has been lots of WWE video games made for the video game industry including Sega and Sega consoles. So I guess WWE does have to do with Sega and video games even if you remove the point of the analogy given. My point is Competing business don't care about the business they buy out as far as its rich history. Just the profit. Change is not always a good thing. Every Mario game has almost the same concept and same feel. Nothing original added for a long time. Sure there fun for a few minutes and then you realize your just playing another Mario game and it gets boring real fast. I guess if you want to buy 30 sonic games all almost identical except a title name change go for it. If that happens. And no Sega would not have the same essence as it did if they bring in all there hired guns. It would represent the company that bought it not the company "BEING SEGA" that got bought out. Believe me prey that this does not happen because you would see the change and would not need me to point it out.
