If Sonic Team merges into Nintendo I will boycott the whole series. The idea is not just stupid, it is outrageously ludicrous. Sonic was Mario's rival in the golden days, and now combining with Nintendo shows Sonic Team's true failure to maintain good games. Never in a million years is this idea good.

Let the fat plumber generate all these stale games with nothing new, but don't put Sonic into the equation.

the point? a true SEGA-Nintendo crossover, a good move for Nintendo as it gets all the Sonic and Phantasy Star fans onto their consoles and a good move for SEGA as it gets all of the Zelda, Mario, Star Fox, Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Castlevania fans as well as anyone with a Wii or Wii U interested in Sonic and therefore willing to buy the games as they are Nintendo.

Very likely, meaning if they were to merge my PS3 would only be used for Fifa and racing games.

Just compare All-Star Racing with Mario Kart. Nintendo makes casual crap for children. SEGA makes hardcore edgy games for 20+ year olds.
