Just imagine a deeper exploration of basel's world/history and its (grim) outlands.. also going deeper and deeper down approaching a world no human has had access to in a long time... more weapons and weapon customizing, even more optimized gameplay... awesome!

I have been thinking about picking this up however I have a question : about how close to the Valkyrie Profile 2 battle system is this because it looks close but not quite. What are the differences?

(I have only played VP1)

The differences are that you move one single character per turn and only smash one attack button (you can also jump), or instead, leave it charging to make a greater combo with charged bonus, but the greatest difference is the importance of the terrain and the movement of your character, the strategy to where to move, what actions do in the movement, and what to do in the next movement are the base of the combat system.

Short version: They are as different as chalk and cheese (is that the correct proverb? :P)
