Thread: Heres what worries me about Sonic Generations.

    Exclamation Heres what worries me about Sonic Generations.



    At 0:25. Did this man just do a spindash while he was still running. In classic Sonic games you have to stop and then do a spindash.
    At 0:39 look how slow he was going before sonic went up the hill and look how high sonic went. This same spot of the video we see Sonic uncurl.
    And plus The 3D Sections of the game from what i see is just hold foward and boost most of the time.
    Are we looking at the next mediocre sonic game?

    I'm sure they're still working on the game, besides it probably is most likely to be the beta version of the game.

    Actually i`m serious here. I dont mean to be a physics PERFECTIONISTS here, but The 2D physics looks kind of clunky if you ask me.
    I just hope that they fix this in the final game.

    Only thing I didn't like in the video was how 3D was all about boosting. Incredible shame after the awesome balance in sonic colours. I do hope this is just placeholder.

    Normally I'd say "oh your just being nitpicky" but I'll back you up on this one because that attitude got us nowhere in Sonic 4.

    The only thing that is glaring is the spindash.

    The uncurling was either a result of the ball being coded to be temporary, or allowing the person to uncurl at will like in Sonic Adventure, because the uncurling takes place on the ground. I have a feeling this won't be like that in the final version, as I do feel this could be a problem if uncurling on the ground is time based. Uncurling in the air, not as big of a deal.

    And I've stated this in other places, we haven't seen a whole lot of the 3D levels yet, Apatos in Unleashed was the same way, but levels got more complexed later on.

    as for the 3D part of "Just Boosting", i'm not going to lie, thats all i did in Unleashed and i find it exhilarating! its amazing blazing through a level that fast! and its not like you're forced to press the button the entire time, i mean you can go slower and explore the level multiple times through

    yea it clearly showed signs of early development. give it time, if it doesnt change. then complain, untill then its still subject to change.

    exploring with bad controls? limited pathways and glitchy caemras? oooh boi
