Already thought of, actually. I fancied the idea for a fanfiction called JetKidz about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, it never came into fruition. So there's that.

Not only that, but in, like, late 2009, I also came up with a Jet Set Radio Future x The World Ends With You fic as well, where the Graffiti Souls were like mission objectives and the golden tapes were the missions themselves. I never followed up on it, and I find that to be a mistake I've come to regret. I almost made up for it with JetKidz, back in '11. Didn't do that either.
Then I started 'Freejazz Theta' and was finally able to feel good about myself.

You think that's crazy? Since Freejazz Theta, I've begun actually created a whole mythos, 'Grind Fiction', that is supposed to encompass things such as Jet Set Radio, The World Ends With You, Mirror's Edge, Freejack, etc. etc. and give us a general world for such things.
I've created dozens of such stories. The JSR/Freejack JSRF/TWEWY ones were just the most fanfictiony. I've created such never-fully-written gems such as...
Freejazz Theta (Jet Set Radio Future meets The World Ends With You meets Durarara meets Fooly Cooly meets Mirror's Edge)...
Teknopathe_tik... This one is one of my favourite self-written stories ever. It was a World Ends With You meets JSR meets Freejack before the first Jet Set Radio meets Freejack story I mentioned. Nowadays its become something more like a cross between Jet Set Radio Future/Mirror's Edge, A Clockwork Orange, and Pink Floyd/Radiohead. Well actually, it was always like that. But still, that was a very minded attempt to expand on the aesthetic-driven world Jet Set Radio/World Ends With You/Freejack/Mirror's Edge kickstarted. Don't be surprised if you hear from this one anytime in the future.
Black Sabbath... A more gothic take on the Grind Fiction genre...
