Exclamation Letter to Tim Turi of GameInformer

I recently sent a letter to Tim Turi, a journalist for GameInformer who did the review for Conduit 2, pleading for it to be given a higher rating. I have decided that if anyone will agree with me, it would be you guys! And who knows, maybe we'll do something! Here it is:
    Dear Tim Turi,

I feel that your rating of Conduit 2 for the Wii as a 6 out of 10 was too low. I understand that games for the Playstation 3 or Xbox360 are almost always better than the games for the Wii, but a 6 was undeserved. The original The Conduit was given a 7 out of 10. Even Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars was given an 8.25.
Also, I felt that you spent time complaining about the controllers. As you said, "You can also plug in the Classic Controller Pro, but the loose analog sticks made everything feel too twitchy, even at low sensitivity." THis has nothing to do with the game itself, so I ask you to change the score if this influenced your decision.
Your article was titled, "A Stumbling Step Forward", so why then, if it went forward, did it get a lower score? I agree with you that the voice acting was terrible, and I agree with you that there are many shadows seen through floors and floating bullet holes, but when you say that the levels "rehash from the first game" I have to disagree. The only setting in the first game was Washington DC, and even the setting IN DC was different. You never fought in the same place twice, except in the subway, which was still changed quite a bit.
Also, there is no mention of historical figures other than John Adams, and I believe that their aim was to hint at aliens that advanced our civilization, like they did with Atlantis.
In your article you never mentioned the system that allowed you to take classes from the multiplayer and use them in singleplayer. You never mentioned that there were guns that had never been used in any other game, i.e. the Phase Rifle, Aegis Device, Dark Star, and AR-C Eclipse. you never mentioned the reviving system that even CALL OF DUTY doesn't have. You only mentioned the bad things.
I'm not saying Conduit 2 is "the best game in existence" or "a 9.5 out of 10"; I'm saying that it's not a 6. I would say at least a 7.5, 8.25 tops. I don't even know if you'll read this; you might not read emails from "just another b****y Wii owner not happy with the rating," but if you get a lot of emails from "just another b****y Wii owner not happy with the rating," then maybe you should take that into attention (acid_snake_001 and Metroid man also commented on the article).

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear back from you,

    Caleb McGrath

I'd have to agree with this, I'm not sure what to say about it right now, though.

Can I get a link to his original review?

Actually, he did mention the class system throughout all aspects of the game (perks in single, multiplayer, and Invasion), and I actually agree with most of his points (though I thought the original had better controls). The score; meh. I'm only worried it'll scare people off to an otherwise enjoyable game.

I've actually fallen in love with the voice acting.

I too agree with most of his points, " Another recurring bug involves the Eclipse cloaking rifle, which yanks Ford’s arms from his body, rendering the gun useless and forcing a checkpoint reload." is such an annoying glitch [except it isn't limited to just that rifle] sure he may have been a bit harsh but most of his points are true. the only part i really didn't like was the bit at the end, "If you’re an FPS-loving Wii owner that doesn’t care about single-player, or someone who adored the original Conduit, you may be able to squeeze some entertainment out of this game. Everyone else should pass." i am sure more than this stereotype can find joy out of this game. I will say I can't wait till yatzee reviews it though. [zero punctuation]

Game Informer is quite well known as a very anti-Wii publication. It's funny to see the evidence laid out though.
