Because it's Sonic turning into a flipping werewolf.

Plus it came out around the time when everyone was trying to cash in on Twilight, and I don't know about anyone else but I was gods dang sick of werewolves and vampires by then.

Why do we hate the Werehog:

1. He is one of the most horrendous characters in gaming history.

2. He was dreamed up by Chronic Team

3. His levels and gameplay are the worst ever and have no place in Sonic. 30 - 40 minutes of repetative fighting and Sonic doing a good impression of Mr Fantastic. Sonic is about speed and not slow pedantic levels.

4. He killed Unleashed. If Unleashed had just been the Daytime stages it would have been a not bad game.

Legend of zelda twilight princess...nuff said, but I don't hate the werehog, in fact if he had his own game un related to sonic it would be well recieved by beat um up fans, but because he's directly linked to the sonic......well ya i'm not gonna continue for fear of getting flamed to death by classic and Unleashed hating fans

And Hoggy, I thought you hated the Daytime stages too...?

Robotnikator believe it or not there is 3 daytime stages I thought were alright. Those are the first acts of Apotos, Mazuri and Shamar. The rest were rubbish.

If it had just been 3 - 4 hours of those acts plus the hubs it would have been an alright game.

The Werehog was just padding out the game.

To me, the werehog was just another cheesy gimmick that didn't belong in the game. When Unleashed first came out I was scared to even touch it because it was a gimmick. The werehog was an unneeded add to the game that made it frustrating at times.

With that said, I like the Daytime gameplay, and it ALMOST makes up for the atrocious mess known as the werehog.
