Default Sega asks us to do their market research for them

    http://www.sega.com/survey/sonic2005/sonic_poll.php

What would you fill out in the nonexistent Comments section of the survey?

How am I supposed to know what titles appeal to what age groups? Stop asking business questions and concentrate on not making average games. And instead of a 46th Sonic property game, how about Shenmue 3 or a SRPG Shining Force, or some ports of Sakura Taisen, or an RPG Phantasy Star or Panzer Dragoon?

There's an announcement on what our comments to the poll may be?

Oh great, Tristan's post was deleted so now I'm talking to myself. On the plus side I'm not being called stupid.

Ahh, I see by announcement you mean that there was a thread without the Announcement title called Take this Sonic Poll. Please forgive me and feel free to merge me with the rest of the thread.

Forgotten Fans, give it a break -_-
Im sure Ive seen you post about how SEGA doesnt listen
too there fans enough, and then when they make the effot you moan..

It's hard too take what you say seriously anymore becuase you
just sound like a fanboy gone wrong..

1)Shining Next project is rumoured too be an SRPG
    2)Sakura World Project
3)wait to see what Phantasy Star Universe is
4)There better be a new Onrail Panzer Dragon before an RPG
5)You should be well aware SEGA cant afford Shenmue 3 at this point

You want everything at once like a little spoilt child!
and like a little spoilt child even if all this did happen
you'd still find something to moan about!

Sorry, I guess I look forward to Amy Rose Dirt Bike Adventure.

It's hard work being perpetually unsatisfied, but it also seems like hard work to be an apologist for a corperation that's not paying you.

This is a better Idea than just releasing a game at random.

At least with this we gammers have a choice.

Everyone always complains how SEGA doesnt listen to the fans. Well, they cant say that now.

    You're right.

I wonder if any of this is going back to any developers or if it's all marketing stuff. The questions about which character you'd like to see in a game seem pretty clearly aimed at designers but then the stuff like chosing if Sonic is "cool" or "fast" seems like marketing.

forgotten fans I'm not apologising for anything I know
SEGA havent been great this Gen,
they also pulled them selves out of almost being bankrupt this Gen
because of poor DreamCast sales and you cant blame THAT
    on bad games!

SEGA wont be at.. 'SEGA standard' again untill
    Probably 2006 at the least!

But we all know SEGA can make great games other wize
you wouldnt have great games too compare too and moan
    about SEGAs not so great
    games in this Gen..

As fot Amy Rose Dirt Bike Adventure, I can't wait!

forgotten fans you are a perfect example of why SEGA is in the shape it is now.

First you ask for a game. Then when it comes out you complain. Then when something is released that you dont like, you talk about SEGA and it's loss of quality. That's Bull. Games like: blood will tell, out run 2, shining tears, tenchu go un-noticed becasue of people like you. From now on, the way I see it is if you dont buy the game then you cant complain about quality.

So when they had no money they were able to make great games but now that they need to pull themselves out of a hole they can only afford to make average games? I understand my pessemism gets tiring (partly because you take it too seriously) but your optimism just seems unfounded to me.

Ok, this is absurd on multiple levels. Firstly, I agreed with your last post so now it's fun to see you attacking me. Secondly, I have spent tons of time and money on Sega products. Accusing me of being part of the reason a company failed is retarded. Companies fail because they are mismanaged or have bad products. I don't want to bring up Sega's failures and shortcomings so I recommend you read the Sega Base or any other history of Sega if you honestly believe what you said.

Believe it or not I have played games I like. And if you think I am just a weird guy who never likes anything, try opening a magazine. Because most of the people here are incapaable of seeing Sega objectively doesn't change the reality that Sega is in a decline because most of the planet isn't impressed with their games. I am not the only one and while there have been some anti-Sega biases here and there in the media, I don't really believe that Sega's failures are anyone's fault but their own (and perhaps their main competition.)

I have all of their systems, multiples of some, and over 150 Sega games. Don't tell me I am the reason they failed.
