Let me say right now that Shadow glitching off the platform to his own theme song is the greatest thing.

BUG:
STUCK IN THE FIRST LOADING SCREEN - GREEN HILL ZONE ACT1.
After I enter in the NEW GAME, the game starts loading and keeps loading forever. Chaos keeps saying useless tips and the music keeps playing.
Your Customer Support and Valve dont know what to do, but I CANT get a refund from Steam. My ticket is the #92 in zendesk. =P

its impossible take achievement red rings for sonic classic at green hillzone. I took the 5 rings and nothings happens, only 4 is avaible on map.
Sega please bring tails and knucles playable on sonic 4 episode 2. I would to play with 3 characters (I and 2 friends). Will be awesome like sonic adventure for game boy advance!!!

quick shoot, rouge mission in playable, it doesn't freezes now ( i has tested it, i was scoring it 2h to get the qucikest time)

AND! TA-DAH! ANOTHER BUG WITH SHADOW!

I was racing with him on ark at hard mode, momentaly, game has started to slooooooooow doooooooown, theit has come to normal speed BUT:
POWER CORE AND SHADOW HAS DISSAPEARD!
in that way i collectec 999 rings and discovered, that we can go to the shadow's power up road from regular lvl, AND! THAT ROAD DOSEN'T HAVE A END! CUZ YOU CAN FALL HERE!

Someone mentioned a possible fix for the random stuttering in the Steam forums, so I tried it and it seems to have worked.
If anyone here has this issue where the game randomly stutters (sometimes the controls don't respond properly when this happens), disabling vsync in the game options and using the tool d3doverrider to force vsync (and if you want, triple buffering as well) seems to fix this.

How to use it:
- Open the tool (it starts minimized, click the green X icon in the taskbar).
- Click the + symbol in the lower left corner.
- Add SonicGenerations.exe to the list (steam\steamapps\common\sonic generations\SonicGenerations.exe).
- Select SonicGenerations.exe in the list.
- Set the detection level to medium.
- Set vsync to on, and, if you want, triple buffering as well (if I'm not mistaken, triple buffering reduces input lag, but the d3doverrider vsync seems to be enough to stop the random stuttering).
- Click the arrow pointing down in the top right corner to hide the tool in the taskbar.

Don't forget to turn vsync off in the game configuration tool. Also, the tool needs to be running in the background for the forced vsync and triple buffering to work.

Okay, so I bought Sonic Generations PC yesterday. I was hoping to play it, but I can't. When I click on 'Play' on the Generations page in my Steam Library, nothing happens. The game doesn't load, no separate windows pop-up, no nothing. This same thing happens when I try to access the game from a shortcut on my desktop. I've tried verifying the game's cache, I tried un-installing it and re-installing it and nothing has worked. NOTHING. Now I'm annoyed.

In layman's terms; Generations won't load.

Have you tried opening up the configuration tool? It's located in ..\steamapps\common\sonic generations. You also need to make sure that you have DirectX 9 installed and that your drivers are up to date.

One other thing to try is that when you try to run it, open up the task manager, select the processes tab and check to see if sonicgenerations.exe is running.

Yesterday, after a long play session, I was able to get successfully into time attack. But I can't anymore, whenever I go into time attack, the game crashes, and I'm too lazy to try to figure out what I need to play in single player first to not make it crash.

I tries the suggested fixes, like disabling the firewall, and I already have <100 Steam friends. Doesn't work anyway.

Still no news from Sega? The game have been out for so long, is there still hope for a patch?
