Play similar to Sonic Rush Adventure. the trick system only allows 7 stars before maxing out, any extra tricks go toward your star bank with allow purchase of items. The special stage will return, with special stage for blaze in which you destroy a set of towers. Item purchase at the item shop will allow exploration of the hub world for more levels. every 5 S ranks open a door to hidden mini boss fights. Slow character play similar to sonic advance with level design similar to the Sonic similator in sonic colors.

Story line: Eggman create a machine that make the choas & sol emerald call out to each other. Blaze and Sonic dimension mix to the point where location from both dimensions clash. the first level take place underground with sonic reaching the top of a buried city. Blaze first level take place on a huge building on the egde of a gaint mountain. sonic/ Blaze/ Take on 2 seperate boss in the same room while Marine and tails work together to take down one for the last boss.
