Those 'VC Moments'

This thread is for people to post up those VC moments we all love/hate/love to hate!

You know, moments like...

- When you're taking a long-range shot with a lancer in VC1, praying to get lucky and hit the bullseye
- You take a long range shot in VC2... and are thankful lancers are more accurate now

- 'Click' Oops, stepped on a mine, but react quick enough to stay still and scream "Engineer!!"
- You take an engineer to defuse the mine... only to remember you're playing VC2 and that responsibility goes to the Special Techs now. Doh!

- You roll straight through the enemy camp with the Edelweiss, destroying sandbags and throwing enemies around
- You realise you forgot one lancer hiding behind the camp who has a perfect shot at the radiator
- ... and he misses. Just like you planned all along, of course.

The thread title reminds me of "Battlefield moments". Those things are always fun to share.

I always remember that one battle at the Barious Desert where my squad was getting badly beat down by snipers, and it was Herbert Nielson of all people who was the hero of that battle by taking the enemy's camp.

Capturing a camp that is surrounded by guards and tanks, but you have won the battle. Do they just surrender and leave your poor little soldier?

Lol, those missions where you have to kill all the enemies in an area, You get an amazing 1-2 run through before you kill the final tank. You kill it but the mission doesnt end. You missed a scout in the tall grass Somewhere XD Happens to me soooooo much.

This reminded me of the numerous times I would need just 1 or 2 more hits (with a potential activation) from a lancer in VC1 to beat the boss and the potential didn't activate or the shot missed/didn't do enough damage and it would have been my last move to clear the level to get a rank A.

Put yeah I've had other moments like in VC2 where I am walking with an engineer and I miss seeing a mine (due to the camera's placement) and bam, character is dead.

Well, I think it was more like Herbert was at the minimum amount of AP, but I kept using CP on him to try and take the camp before the enemy's turn came. Otherwise he would've been killed by the enemies that would be deployed at the camp.

-Gets a pefect shot with the Edelweiss

They're just so embarrassed that they let you slip by that they just pack up and leave.

Some of the funnier moments in VC are those times where you're sitting in a camp and some enemy scout runs in and tries take the camp but can't since it's occupied. Then he gets destroyed.

and aim in on the bad guy, and he ducks to dodge the shot, but you somehow manage to hit something more important behind him, like an officer or a crate of ragnite.
