Default Is this game heavy with it's gun gameplay?

I was thinking of getting Alpha Protocol since I've heard good things about it, I watched a video lastnight and I saw lots of complicated gun gameplay.. I mean I'm fine with a little.. but too much and I'm just going to loose interest or get frustrated.

So I was just wondering if it's possible to play through the game without shooting all the time. Because the game does seem interesting.

It is up to the player. If you focus on stealth, you will even get an upgradable skill which allows you to walk around without beeing noticed by your enemies for a few secs. As long as you are unseen you can either stab enemies (means you kill them) or just knock them unconscious. Hint: Focus on a weapon you like to use too, because you will need some gun power against the bosses.

Basically the game does very bad the stealth mode many times, it's either too easy or impossible, so you better specialize in the assault rifle for those missions where you need to shoot no mater what. And the good thing is that you can use silenced rounds on it for stealth purposes. It does NOT require you to shoot a lot like in an action game, fact is you could actually use the other weapons that are not as effective, but really, pistols, shotguns and machine-guns seem like a waste of points to me.
