Ch.1
The story begins with Sonic and all his friends celebrating another defeat against Eggman once again. Well, everyone but Tails, who snuck off. Sonic stopped celebrating and looked around for Tails. "Hey, where's Tails?" he asked. They ignored him so Sonic ventured off alone looking for Tails.

Tails was walking through The Great Forest. "Aah Tails. What have you brought for me today?" Eggman asked emerging from the bushes. Tails handed him some papers. Eggman glanced at them and a wide smiled appeared on his face. "Tails?!" Sonic called out startling them both. "We'll meet again later." Eggman told him emerging back in the bushes and getting in his Egg Flyer.
Sonic emerged from the bushes soon after. "Why'd ya walk off little buddy?" he asked. "Um...I just wanted to think to myself for a while." Tails lied. Sonic smiled. "You're probably nervous because you're about to turn 13." Sonic told him putting his arm around him. Tails smiled. "Yea.." Tails replied. "Lets go home." Then they both walked back to Knothole.

After they got back everyone went home. Tails was in his room emailing some info. to Eggman when Sonic walked in. Tails immediately turned off the computer and got up. "Oh-Uh hey, Sonic." he nervously said putting his arms behind his back. Sonic pulled his left hand from behind his back and held a picture frame of them when they first met. Tails held back tears. He knew he was betraying his brother. "Well I'm off to bed." Sonic told him leaving out. Tails wiped some tears from his eyes and continued to send info to Eggman.

Tails snuck out and met up with Eggman again, this time in an open field. "For giving you this, you promise you won't hurt my friends?" Tails asked before giving somemore papers. "Oh, why would I do such a thing? After all you're helping me anyway." he replied. Tails gave him a glare, then he handed him the papers. Once Tails was gone Eggman broke out into manical laughter. "Who said I kept promises?!" he exclaimed uncrossing his fingers on his right hand.

Ch.2
"Yo Tails! Wake up!" Sonic yelled. Tails snored, ignoring his call. Sonic creeped up in his room and grabbed his air horn that was sitting on his dresser. "3...2.." Then he pressed the button. "BLEEEEEEEEE!" the airhorn sounded. "WAHHHH!" Tails yelled sitting up with a start. "348/4 is 87!" he yelled. Then he turned and saw Sonic laughing. He was about to tell him something when his computer started saying, "You've got mail!" Tails face went pale and Sonic looked suspicious. Tails slipped out of bed and shut off the computer. "Hehe-it-it was nothing." Tails lied feeling sweat drip down his face. "Well...um ok. Come get breakfast." Sonic told him leaving out. "Whew." Tails sighed in relief. Then he turned back on the computer and saw that he got an email from Dr.Eggman.
Tails walked out his room soon after. "Why would Eggman email me this early!?" he thought eating a piece of toast and drinking orange juice.
**Meanwhile**
"Knuckles, I'm telling you. Something's up with Tails." Sonic said. Knuckles laughed. "He's about to turn 13, whaddya expect?" he replied. Before Sonic replied he saw Tails walked inside The Great Forest. Sonic got up and took off following him. "Hey Sonic where ya-HEY BAT GIRL DON'T TOUCH MY MASTER EMERALD!"
Sonic looked around for Tails. "He's not-AHHH!" he yelled being grabbed by E-214 Alpha 2. "Bwahhahhahaaha! I've got you now, you little pest!" he yelled with roaring laughter. Tails, peeking through the bushes, pulled out his invisible grapple and fired it at Eggman, knocking him out of his Egg Hover. Then he shot E-214 causing him to malfunction and releasing Sonic. "AHHH!" Sonic screamed thus falling on his face. "Why you little-!" Eggman yelled throwing a fit as Tails brought Sonic away from hin.
"Thanks buddy." Sonic said rubbing his hand through Tails hair. "Well um...I'm going to go work on another invention." Tails lied, flying off. Sonic got up and looked at Tails. "I'm getting worried about Tails. He's going off to sudden." Sonic thought. Then he took off running back to Knothole.

Ch.3
"Eggman I told you not to mess with my friends!" Tails yelled, enraged. Eggman walked to him. "Sorry, I got a little carried away." he replied handing Tails a box with a bow on top. "It's a present, but don't open it until tomorrow. You don't want to spoil your surprise." Tails took the present and suspiciously looked at Eggman, then he turned walking back to his house.
"Hey Tails, where ya been?" Sonic asked when he saw Tails walk in. Tails threw the present down the hallway while Sonic turned to wash the dishes. -clatter-
"What was that noise?" Sonic asked him. "Oh, um nothing, *yawn* I'm getting tired. Goodnight." Tails lied rushing down the hallway, grabbing the present, then going into his room. He put the present in a drawer, that came out his bed, and picked up his picture what Sonic gave him. "I'm sorry Sonic." he said with tears flowing from his eyes.
Later that night, when Tails was asleep, the present opened the drawer and crawled on the bed. Then it went back to the normal present box.
Tails woke up and smelled breakfast. As he got up he felt the present. He picked it up and walked to the kitchen. "Sonic?" he asked once he got in the kitchen. He looked around, then spotted a note on the refridgerator.
"Happy Birthday Tails!" it read.
Tails smiled and saw some pancakes and orange juice on the counter.
After eating, the doorbell rang. Tails opened the door and saw Shadow standing at the door. "Ahem....Happy Birthday Tails, Sonic told me to get you." Shadow said letting out a sigh. Tails grabbed his present and walked outside. "Also he said to let you ride on my back." he told him letting out another sigh. Tails hopped on Shadow's back and Shadow began to skate-run.
Tails hopped off of Shadow's back once they arrived at the open field. "Happy Birthday Tails! Chao Chao!" they exclaimed. "Thanks gu-AHHHH!" Tails began to say when Eggman's CatiEgg came up from the ground. "BWAHHAHAH!" Eggman laughed pressing a button. Tails's present started to rumble. He dropped it and ran to Sonic. "Eggman! What brings you here!" Sonic asked with a furious look on his face. "Oh, you and your little friends will soon find out!" Eggman replied.
Tails's present became 10 feet tall. "What is that?! Chao Chao!" everyone else exclaimed. Eggman pressed a button and a beam started to form at the top. "No...it can't be-!" Sonic exclaimed. "Oh, but yes it is....and your "pal" Tails helped me." Tails looked at Eggman in shock. "Who said I kept promises!?" Eggman cackled in laughter. Sonic turned to look at Tails with tears forming in his eyes. "Ta-Tails...it's not true? Is it?" Sonic asked. Tears began to flow down Tails' eyes and he nodded. "Now...time to turn you all into robots!" Eggman yelled pressing another button(Seriously Eggman so many buttons!). "No!" Tails yelled, breaking from Sonic's grasp. "Tails!" everyone screamed. Tails ran inside the machine and threw two small nanites at the opening at the top and at the front. They closed and Tails was left trapped inside. "I'm sorry Sonic." he said with the tears still flowing down his face. Then a bright red light engulfed the machine, and Tails." Tails!" Sonic yelled trying to get to him while everyone held him back.

Ch.4
Once the smoke cleared Eggman's smile of glee turned into rage. "Mzakcvoishsh..." he muttered angrily banging on the ship. "I was so-*clank*" Sonic looked up. "Tails?" he called out. *clank* *clank* Sonic began to smile and he got up running. "Sonic no!" Knuckles yelled.
Sonic started pulling some metal pieces and throwing them to the side. "I forgive you for what you did, I just want-*BOOM*" Sonic fell backward and landed on his butt.
Sonic started coughing. "Ta-Tails?" he called out. A hand emerged up and moved its fingers. "Tails are you alright!?" he yelled getting up. Red glowing eyes turned towards him. Then the smoke cleared revealing Tails robotozized. "Bwahahhahahaa!" Eggman laughed. "Looks like your little pal took one for the team. Mecha Tails turned and started walking towards Sonic. "Mecha Tails...would you take out this pest?" Eggman asked gleefully. "Yes, Master." he replied. "Tails, I don't want to fight you!" Sonic yelled throwing his hands up. Then he tripped backward on a rock. *whirr* A drill in Mecha Tails's right hand came out. "No...don't do it!" Sonic yelled. A glare appeared on Tails's face then Knuckles kicked him in the stomach and caused him to fall backwards. "Come on." Knuckles said, helping Sonic get up.
Once they left Eggman got Mecha Tails and opened a capsule that came out under his ship. "Oh hedgehog you wait...I already took the most closest thing to you. Now time to use it against you even more." Eggman gloated.
The Next Morning

Sonic alarmingly sat straight up in bed. "It was just a dream!" he shouted getting up and going to Tails's room. "Hey T-" Then an immediate sadness overtook him and he remembered what happened yesterday. Knuckles came out of the guestroom and saw him standing at Tails's door. "Dude, we're going to get Tails back." he told him. Sonic turned towards him. "Aren't you supposed to be guarding the Master Emerald?" he asked. "I brought it here to keep it away from Eggman." Knuckles replied going back in the guestroom. "HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE!?" Knuckles exclaimed. "I have my ways." Rouge replied.
Sonic walked into Tails's room and sat on his bed. He spotted the picture and picked it up. He began to imagine that day like it was yesterday.

Tails: "Le-leave me alone or I-I'll get my big brother.
Monkey Kid: "What's he going to do?!"
Others: "Yea!"
Then Sonic ran up and they all ran away.
Tails smiled and hugged Sonic.
"What are we going to do now?" he asked.
"Well, do you like taking pictures?" Sonic asked.
Tails nodded.
Sonic took off, with Tails on his back, to Knothole Photography. ***
"No...I'm not going to sit here and be sad." Sonic thought to himself. He got up, setting the picture aside, and left out the house.

"Uncle, what would you like me to modify on Mecha Tails?" Snively asked. Eggman sat in his chair. "Nothing....nothing just yet." he replied, thinking. "If I stay inactive for a while everything would go back to normal." he thought. "Snively.....send this base underground." Snively pressed a button and the whole base slowly went underground.

Sonic ran to where Eggman's base had been. "But it was here! I know it!" he exclaimed. "Mr. Sonic?" a familiar voice called out. Sonic turned and saw Cream and Cheese holding a basket of cookies. They ran to him and gave them to him. "My mom made them for you." she said. "Chao!" Cheese exclaimed. Sonic smiled. "Thanks. Let me bring you guys home." he replied, picking Cream up while she held Cheese. And thus he took off.

Ch.6
"Oh hello Sonic!" Vanilla cheerfully exclaimed when him and Cream walked in the house. "Hello." he replied sitting down. "Mom me and Cheese are going to my room and play dress up!" Cream shouted going down the hall to her room. "Sonic would you like something to drink?" she asked sitting down. "No ma'am." he replied letting out a sigh. "We're going to get Tails back and change him back to normal." she told him.
"I know, but I never thought in my life that he would betray me like this." he replied
Vanilla took a sip of Iced Tea.
"He couldn't just betray you without a reason." she told him.
Sonic sighed. "Maybe. Maybe not." he replied.

Back at the underground base, Eggman was devising a plan. Many papers had been thrown away in the process. "Hmmm....This is it....THIS IS IT!" he exclaimed. Snively came running down the hall. "What what Uncle!?" he asked panickly. Eggman handed him the paper. "Brillant idea Uncle." he told him. "We can't do anything for a month for this plan to work." Eggman told him. "Then it's time to work on Mecha Tails after that." They both looked at the sleeping Mecha Tails.

Part 2: Eggman's Plan

Only a month passed since Tails became a robot. Practically everything went back to normal, even Sonic was happy for once, but a sadness stayed with him.

While Sonic and his friends were having fun, Eggman was making his plan come into action. Snively placed the last piece onto the Egg Clutcher and walked to Eggman. "Uncle it's finished." he told him. Eggman smiled and sat in his chair. "Now time to wait."

Once everyone went home it was nighttime. An opening opened and the Egg Clutcher, with Eggman inside, flew out and to Angel Island.

Once Knuckles arrived on his island he fell asleep at the bottom steps of the Master Emerald Shrine. "Ahhh....he's asleep." Eggman said pressing a button. The clutcher came out and grabbed the emerald. Then he opened a capsule and put the emerald in there. Knuckles shuddered. "Ta ta enchidna. Thank you for the emerald." he said flying away.

ZOMG!!
Knuckles banged on Sonic's door. Sonic opened the door showing drowsy eyes. "What do you-THE MASTER EMERALD GOT STOLEN!" Sonic began to say when Knuckles interrupted him. Sonic suddlenly woke up. "What!?" he exclaimed. "I have this bad feeling that Eggman stolen it." Knuckles told Sonic, walking into his house. Sonic thought about Tails. "No....NO!" he yelled. Then he heard Tails's computer say, "You've got mail!" Sonic ran to his room and clicked open. It was a video. He clicked it and Eggman popped up.
"Hello Sonic." he said.
In that instant Knuckles barged into the room.
"Where's my Master Emerald, you oversized Egg!?" Knuckles yelled, banging his fist on something, thus breaking it.
"Oh ho ho ho!" Eggman laughed. The camera moved and Snively was putting a wire on the Master Emerald, which connected to Mecha Tails.
Knuckles and Sonic's eyes grew wide.
"Sonic...." Tails's voice echoed through his head.
Then Sonic took off.

"Hurry, Snively! That blue pest will be here any minute now!" Eggman yelled, raged.
"Done!" Snively yelled. Then pressing a button. The energy surged to through the wire and into Mecha Tails. Then Sonic burst through one of the vents.
"Sonic!?" Eggman exclaimed, getting scared.
"Let Tails go.....and change him back!" Sonic yelled.
Before Eggman said something everything started to malfunction.
"It's malfunctioning!" Snively yelled. "There's too much power!"
Sonic ran to the table where Mecha Tails laid. "Tails I'm going to save you." he said unhooking the cords attached to him. Mecha Tails opened his eyes and grabbed Sonic by the neck. Then the lab exploded and Mecha Tails lost his grasp of Sonic and they both were flinged across the lab.

"Unngh!" Eggman and Snively moaned. They got up and saw the most of the lab destroyed, part of it on fire, and smoke rising up from somewhere. *clank* Mecha Tails rose up from under some pieces of metal. Sonic moaned and slowly got up. The dust started to clear where Sonic and Mecha Tails were. "Please..Ta-Tails don't-" Sonic began to say when he fell back onto the floor. Mecha Tails walked to him. "S-Sonic?" he asked. The thicker portion of dust cleared and revealed Eggman and Snively. "Mecha Tails...destroy him!" he yelled. "I...I-" Mecha Tails began to say when a surge of energy, from the Master Emerald, went in him. "Unzzzz!" Mecha Tails exclaimed in pain. Then he fell to the floor. "Destroy him before I make you scraps!" Eggman demanded angrily. "Y...Yes Master." Mecha Tails replied. In response he picked Sonic up. "Tails..." Sonic moaned out. Then Mecha Tails flew out of the lab and set Sonic on the grass. After that he landed back in the lab. Eggman snarled. "Strap him back to the table and use the Nega-Emeralds and combine them with the Master Emerald." Eggman told Snively. "Snively grabbed Mecha Tails and brought him to the table. Then he strapped him down real tight. A sly smile came across Eggman's face as Snively went to fetch the Nega-Emeralds from the basement.
