I'm currently in the process of making a video game.
For $60 you get a complete game: A knife, a pistol, a level to roam, and a monster to kill.
While you can use your knife and pistol, you may notice other weapons lying around. When you find a weapon you would like to use, a window will open asking you to enter your credit card information. If you would like to purchase the weapon for use, you may. If not, no one's making you. You have a complete game, afterall.
While the pistol comes with a complete clip of ammo, you may run out. Once you do, a window will open asking you to enter your credit card information. We dubbed the term "consumables". If you would like to purchase more ammo for use, you may. If not, no one's making you. You have a complete game, afterall.
The monster in the room with you is pretty scary. Luckily you can kill it! We would, however, like to mention our superb optionalGrand Expansion Pack. For a mere $15, another monster will spawn in the level with you. This is, of course, optional. A window will open asking you to enter your credit card information. If you would like to purchase our Grand Expansion Pack, you may. If not, no one's making you. You have a complete game, afterall.
I'm glad we can all enjoy the luxury of video gaming together! Check for my game in stores this Fall.
Why are you posting this on this forum? You've already had previous posts deleted that didn't belong on this forum. This has nothing to do with Chromehounds, it's you creating another flame post.
There is an Off Topic forum just for posts like this. Do you create posts just to have them locked/deleted?
I'd play your game. The knife way first. I'd play the basic game. If it was a game that I enjoyed, I'd consider paying you for expansion packs and other weapons to play the game a different way the second time around. See, Chromehounds I've enjoyed a lot. I've already gotten over 60 hours of pure enjoyment from it. That's only $1/hour. A lot less than you would pay for a movie, amusement park etc. I don't mind paying more for add ons to that kind of value if it enhances my enjoyment. I think with Chromehounds it will.
Your game, you seem to be focusing on the monster and weapons only. I like good scenery and stuff also. And, I like good people to play with. If I feel the first 60 hours of your game are worth it, I might buy another weapon. Considering your description though. I don't see me getting more than a few minutes into the game and stopping. There are plenty of places to play your type of game for free. I only know one place to play Chromehounds.

If I could play for over 100 hours in your game without getting bored and still enjoying it Id gladly play the game and then probably get the expansion packs. I know that alot of other games I played for maybe 50-60 hours total and then never touched again so I'd call it a bargain.
