Default Are you satisfied with the way Xbox has turned out?

On many levels yes. We got our massive, organized online system. Rare game being Spikout:Battle Street, but we're getting more copies : / A football game built from the ground up for Xbox, NFL 2k5. A 3rd party game built from the ground up and it shows, UC 2 but I'd like to have a dozen. High powered PC games that run well, Doom 3. The action game Ive always wanted Ninja Gaiden. A plethora of online fighting games. A mess of old 2D arcade games (See SNK). And the suprising exclusive sleeper hit that everyone thought would suck, Riddick. So, yes Im rather satisfied.

However, its lacking. Not nearly enough custom soundtrack enabled games that clearly separate Xbox from PS2. No life consuming MMORPG, PSO doesnt count. No traditional turnbased RPG, Sudeki doenst count but that doesnt need mentioning. The epic moment in a game or entire game that would epitomize gaming in every aspect where sound, visuals, story and play that would all mix in for the unforgetable moment in a game that I will remember for decades, Advent Rising is the current hopeful, Orson Scott Card has talent.

Has Xbox turned out to be the console you wanted it to?

Defintely turned out to be a smart investment. Ms couldve just dropped a powerful machine, and had tons of trash games on it, sh*tty pc ports and couldve put a half @ss effort into Xbox. Instead, they fixed most if not all the gripes consumers/developers had with xbox and its games, sought out exclusive rights to quality titles and bought a few people here and there who were worth it.

Forget about the hype of being powerful and all the features, in Xbox last year, its still seeing some of the best software created. This month alone has Doom 3, Jade Empire and Unreal 2. Next month has Forza and Conker. I personally never really felt like i went on a months without a quality game, and most of them were exclusive to xbox. The multiplat games that dropped were usually best on xbox anyway. I guess i never really doubted my purchase since im not a huge fan of japanese rpgs, 1 of the xboxs weaknesses.

Xbox live is more then enough reason to own it if your a competitive gamer so im satisfied.
Playing: L.A. Noire, Child of Eden
    Next: Shadows of the Damned
Thoughts: E3 is over. Possibly the most underwhelming E3 in years. Bring back the surprises!!

Xbox has definitely made my initial $300 investment worth it, every penny of it, i got XBox one month after it launched and never been happier, i am an avid DC gamer and was torn between getting a PS2 or Xbox, glad i waited, the number of games, the quality, and the expectations they hyped up before the launch i believe came true and kudos to MS for making it happen. Although im not on XboxLive right now(i have a modded Xbox), i still feel that it is one of Xbox's strong points, MS knew what they were doing all along, they expected to lose money and they did, they expect to win market share, and they did, they expected to school an old veteran, and they did  . what more can you ask if you are MS???....LOL....
personally, im at the point in my life when i dont play as much as i used to, which is unfortunate since the quality of games that recently came out is just overwhelming and at the same time pocket pinching, but i still am up to date on the ongoings on the video gaming world, and still a full time gamer at heart. all i can say it's been a heck of a ride on my Xbox, and to answer your question again, i would definitely say YES.....LOL......bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....

As we close this era in gaming and prepare for the next batch of gaming consoles, i give credit to Sony and Nintendo also for making it a fun time...LOL....

Yeah, I think it was worth my $300. With the Xbox, I believe that Microsoft has established itself as a big player in the console war.

Definitely, I got exactly what I purchased. Kick @.S:$ FPS's, killer online system, and most of the games I'm interested in besides FPS's.

Xbox was missing too many of the killer exclusives that PS2 had for a long time. That was a serious blow.
