That is true, but you have to consider two things:

1- Virtua Fighter isn't the most popular fighting game, and everyone knows that... and the PC gamers aren't really the biggest fighting game fans out there.

2-This petition didn't really get much exposure, at all... The Dark Souls PC petition was posted on NeoGAF, RockPaperShotgun, and pretty much most major gaming outlets. This one didn't make it to any sites, except SEGAbits, which is a Sega fan site. (Come and think of it, the DS petition got popular once the Community Manager said he will look into it... So..please SEGA community managers?)

All these considered, 300 sigs is pretty good and I'm sure it will get WAY more if the petition got bigger exposure.

I'd like to see this game on Steam, though I understand why it wouldn't happen. I'm just concerned what happens if this is the last VF, and the plug is pulled on the consoles- I can see myself playing this game as long as others are willing to play.

The game had 300k Downloads in 2 weeks... This is great news, hopefully it might encourage SEGA to get on with the PC version.

Also, I PM'd one of the Admins/Community managers here, and no reply yet... Even though I'm 99% sure he read the message... I hope he replies soon.

I'm fully aware of the size of the fighting community on PC, however, I think there might be a good opportunity for them considering there aren't really any notable 3D fighting games on STEAM, no competition. It's a ripe market.

In anycase, I believe there is a decent chance SEGA will bring this game to PC, even if they outsource it to another team to port it (which they will probably do)

The petition hadn't had much exposure, and it easily passed the 100 sig mark!
If you have the time, please spread the petition link and sign it!

I would download it first day its a good chance they could grab the fighting game market like they grabed thek console market in the 90's

The website the petition is held on (Petition Bureau) has been down for about a week or so...

I also did not receive a reply or a reaction from Edward@SEGA.

Maybe we should start a new one (for both Steam and Vita!) at change.org, just like the ones for THOTD 1&2 and Yakuza...

The petition is back online, if anyone want to push it.

Recent news has other fighters hitting Steam - Skulgirlls definitely will now (great community), and it looks like there may be plans for the KOF series

Given that VF basically is a PC game in the arcades- a port to console shouldn't be too hard, I think it's just a question of demand- SF4 PC does do much lower numbers than the console versions, and Japanese companies do tend to be behind on things like this (though SEGA really isn't a Japanese company anymore with all its Western-oriented releases, AM2 is very Japanese)

Hey Riki, found your petition, signed & retweeted. I run a podcast with a small but dedicated following and will promote it there as well. Really hoping we can get this game on PC, the market is devoid of any 3D fighter and it represents a perfect opportunity for SEGA to expand the Virtua Fighter playerbase.
