Just picked up my copy of Xenoblade Chronicles.

and the artbook isnt bad, i just wish i would've had bios and other such things.

The idea is that you can flip the inlay around and have the other side serve as the boxart instead. Which I did, that's such a better-looking image than the sword boxart they went with.

The art book's gorgeous. Really nice.

I just noticed it also makes the recycle!!!! box nicer since there is an image behind the area with no plastic.

I'm only 15 minutes in but this game's already in-*******-credible. The colors REALLY pop on my HDTV, game looks great. Of course it's not "HD" and there are lots of little graphical imperfections like flat textures and jagged edges but the colors......oh man, the colors are so vibrant. Game looks gorgeous.

The opening cutscene, when the camera pulled back, holy hell my jaw dropped.

Music's AMAZING so far. I've only heard 3 songs but holy ****, lol. Voice acting's pretty damn good, I have no desire to switch to Japanese.


Battle system's really well introduced and explained. It's like a far more fun Final Fantasy 12.

I do think it's funny that Nintendo of America didn't bother to fix the spellings from the British ones. ("Armour.")


Edit: Okay, holy ****, I'm walking around Colony 9 now..........this is a JRPG. THIS game has that JRPG feeling that I've been missing for this entire console generation. This town......................not only are there TONS of quests you can take on, you can build relationships with the townspeople, ....or just follow the icon to progress the story and skip all of this. Day turns to night, the music does too, the sound effects are perfect.....amazing. And it's only the first town.


If anyone claims to be a JRPG fan and they're not playing this then they're clearly lying about being a JRPG fan.

I picked up my copy today, and will be playing it soon. Gotta get my homework done though...can't let Xenoblade get in the way of my college work...but...its...so...tempting...to play right now... >.<

I got the game today, but I don't intend on playing it until Monday or so. Because the Wii is in the living room. I likely won't get a chance at the TV. Or enough of a chance.

Well, I think it'd be nice if the lips were synced with the voices. Another thing is yeah, although it doesn't bother me, its clear Nintendo of America didn't spend ANY money on this game, they just took Europe's game and changed the region on it. They didn't really market it or anything. Pure profit.

But yeah, this game is so good, I can't even care.

I gotta take a longer break, though, because my brother and sister showed up.

Well, it would be nearly impossible to sync up the lips with the voices. I wouldn't doubt that the japanese version didn't sync up either lol.

Yeah, it is surprising that the game looks great on my HUGE HDTV. I expected it to be a jaggy mess but nope!
