Don't even try that, anyone with even half a mind can see how utterly false it is. The gameplay in the classics was never as inconsistent, broken, and sporadic as it is in this day and age.

Even then, Sonic and the Black Knight has 6+ playable characters, and Sonic Generations has rolling in modern levels.
