What did you think about Sonic Colors when it was first annouced?

Thought it looked great, but I knew something was up with it.
When I finally played it and finished it I knew it felt like it took major steps back and it just felt empty

It looked zetta interesting and I was pretty pumped to see and hear that it was just Sonic, Tails, and Eggman.

Not a whole lot, at the time I kinda lost my interest in Sonic and started playing other games.

I didn't know what to make of the teaser trailer, but I remember hoping that there wouldn't be some annoying gimmick that was going to be announced at a later date that would ruin the game for me a la Sonic Unleashed, and there wasn't...So, cautiously optimistic I would say.

Werehog is just as much as a gimmick as the wisps, he was designed to be played that way.

Yeah but you never have to stop playing as Sonic to use the wisps, which is the main reason I preferred them. With the werehog i only got to play as Sonic for about 25% of the time.

More than the werehog? theres an equal amount of stages for each, but the werehogs stages are about 5 times longer. I certainly don't remember playing as Sonic more.

the moment i saw that first glimps i thought sonic was done for but when i played it became my 2nd favorite sonic game next to sonic 3

And as the months went by, I started to like what I saw and eventually got it.
