    I think it's possible to answer this, at least in part... But I'll leave that for S0L too... His 'security clearance' is higher than mine. (lol!)

    Yeah, it's safe to say the 3DS version will feature 3D, and the WiiU some Gamepad specific features. Can't say much more than that though!

    OK I know we're not suppose to ask about certain characters in the game, but can you guys give us hints of characters that are deconfirmed when the game is near release date? And can you two come by the SegaBits forums? I remember you guys use to talk about this series on the forums first back when SegaBits was SegaNerds.

    I have a mildly concerned question. Will the instruction manual lean toward being packed with ressourceful images and referecial backstory on certain games presented in the game, or toward having about six pages of basic tutorials for each language written in it?

    A gradually increasing number of recent games have been doing the latter, which is relatively sad.

    I really hate debugging and have had a bad dose of it recently, so I got curious, what has been the bug that was the most frustrating to fix so far in this game?

    Debugging? What's that? Nah we're still just busy cramming stuff in!

    Just getting the massive size of the levels into memory has been the biggest challenge the art team have had so far!
    I dunno for the coders though... Sorry.

    1. Will the handheld versions graphics stand up to the consoles or be better than last time?

    2. Will drifting on them be better as well because it was a little broken on the ds version.

    3. Any crossplatform plans with the vita and ps3 that you can say right now?

    4. Ever consider costumes for some characters? I.E. Dr. Eggman Nega or Silver Sonic costumes.

    will there be anything special, like if you still own the first game, will you get a special unlocked feature? Ala, with people who still owned Sonic 4 eps. 1 and got eps. 2, they unlocked eps. Metal

    We'll be deconfirming things as we go. In fact let's do one now. You won't be playing as Vectorman in this game. Not saying why :P

    Bear in mind we struggle to keep on top of the discussions here and at SSMB, last time round I almost killed myself dealing with so many forums. It's not that we've got anything against SEGABits, Neogaf, GameFAQS and more, its just we simply don't have the time. This game is a HUGE undertaking, and I'm sure you'd rather us concentrate on getting it right, rather than answering questions.

    Sadly, this is completely out of our hands. I always like nice manuals, but it's purely up to SEGA.

    Too many questions! Please one at a time, if everyone asked four questions, we'd have to stop doing this! I will quickly answer these, but it'll be short...

    1. We always go our best to make it look as good as possible. It's hard with so many platforms mind!

    2. You know a DS has a completely different architecture than a PS3, we can't run the same physics on both. We're trying to share more code on 3DS (as it has some more poke) but we can't promise it will be exactly the same. All the others run the same code and physics though, so should be the same.

    3. Nope. We'd rather spend the energy polishing the engine and graphics rather than do something like cross-play. We also learned from OutRun2006 that people didn't like having to buy two copies

    4. We did, but with 3 vehicles per character, we didn't want to get into costumes. It's loads of work!
