Default Aliens vs Preditor 2010, how to install to specific drive?

The game requirements for Aliens vs Preditor listed on the back said a hard disk space of 4.6 Gb free was required however when I tried to install it told me it needed 15 Gb which isn't too surprising really since it's on two DVDs.

I have two hard disks in my computer, one is 465 Gb (500Gb "as manufacturer described") and the other is 298 Gb (320 Gb "as manufacturer described") and there's enough "space" free - the problem is the space isn't where the game wants to install itself.

Being a sensible computer user I've partitioned these drives so that my main drive is set up as follows:

c:\ 60 Gb for Windows OS installation only
d:\ 285 Gb for installing programs on to
e:\ 10 Gb for tempory files and cd/dvd tempory files
f:\ 110 Gb for work-in-progress files and users' My documents folders.

The problem I have is that I've got plenty of space available on D:\ where I normally install programs to, but not enough space on c:\ where the game wants to install itself to.

Every other game or program I have gives you the choice when you install it on where you want the program or game to be installed to, except this one.

How can I install this game to my d:\ drive?

If this can't be done then I'll be a little peeved as I don't really want to spend valuable time resizing partitions.

    Regards,

    James

The game seems to want to be installed where the OS system is.

Try installing steam on d: and then downloading the game via It instead of using the discs and see If now It allows you to install It in d: (It should work)

Or also, you can install Steam on d: and see If you can now install It there.

Thanks for the reply, I'm trying this now which appears to be working. Thanks for that.
