Sega digital download = zero effort

If they wanted to make something serious with VF5 FS, they would go for a full retail release, like Vf deserves.

I wouldn't say "zero effort" they have been adding VF5FS to tournaments, interviews with pro players. Its not a lazy port neither. AM2 have been behind it all the way including extras such as online multiplayer rooms and a welcomed training mode.

I think people should get over the whole download thing. I hope this decision leads to a lot better quality with regards to the games budget being spent "on the game" and not packaging and what ever else.

Im still overly happy SEGA are giving us this great AAA title. It reminds me of the SEGA that once dominated the games industry and i prey to the lords we see that day again.

Anyway since there's no forum up on here yet, anyone who's hype about Viruta Fighter 5 Final Showdown head over to http://virtuafighter.com/ there's loads of talk over there especially as the game got a release date today.

    #Day1 purchase.

zero effort from the sega west part, not from the AM port team.
Some interview and a tournament is not a huge effort, really, it's the bare minimum.

Is the $15,000.00 VFFS evo prize money bare minimum too? come on city hunter its not as bad as you make out, you just don't like digital releases.

Capcom goes to Evo every year and from what I remember they give more money for prizes.
$15,000 is nothing, they try to stick with the pro fanbase, and that's good (even if it's a bit too late), but they scam the same fanbase with this cheap(for Sega)/expensive(for gamers) release.

I assume you think of Skullgirls in the same vein then?

    ?
It is cheaper than retailer, what are the scamming? What if SEGA planned a retail release instead but you get the same content as this release (bare bones) but you pay 10-20$ extra instead?
