Default Who Believes Sonic Should Be Single

Hi, this isn't a post to get down on Sonic couples but it's just something I wanted to bring up. Am I the only who wishes Sonic was single with no girlfriends whatsoever? Sonic is always spending most of his days running around and saving other people's lives and Mobius. His main personality is: laid back, carefree, and free spirited. Back in the 1990s days when me and my brothers used to game I used to love Sonic's antics and how he had nothing to weigh him down. It's nice that he has some girlfriends but he is so free spirited I don't think he needs any. He's a role model to single people like me(I'm 22 years old). Even though I'm a girl I realize that Sonic is happy just being Sonic.

I am completely with you on this. Sonic is free spirit and have romance placed into his story is contradictory of his character.

But I don't think romance should be in this series at all. It takes away the focus from the action and fantasy and makes the whole story melodramatic.

(p.s. How tiny do we look from where you are?)

I don't believe "free spirited" necessarily has to mean "FOREVER ALONE". All being free spirited is is living as you want to live whether it's conventional or not. Do I believe Sonic should be single? I don't care. I believe Sonic should seek excitement and adventure. In character, I don't think a relationship would effect that. Might ultimately leave to a break up unless it's Amy Rose or something. Lol.

    Leave it to him.

Uhhhhhhhhhh, I'd rather he be single... but I can't really see much of a difference with him simply proclaiming to have a girlfriend. A girlfriend who wasn't needy and wanting to tie him down from his adventuring. One who didn't give him obligation to return to a place where he didn't want to because she NEEDS him or something.

Hmm, it's both ways with me, I want him free to roam the world, yet with a place and person to return to when he feels lonely and tired.

I wonder just when and where humanity scrwed up for the world to suck as much as it does today.

Yeah he does, but they won't be around forever nor putting up with a freeloading son forever.

I dont think he should alone forever. His connections should be with his in order to ground him a little. But a dating relationship is a different story. That is a commitment to person that has more of a impact on people.

I don't he should never be with someone, but not during the series, (leave the romantic melodrama to the CW).

I believe it wouldn't be wrong for him to casually date the way Archie's flagship character does with his friends Betty and Veronica. No it isn't cheating as both girls know going on a date with Archie doesn't automatically mean a commitment.

I want Sonic to stay single too.....I think it takes away from his style like being 'tied-down'
