    Default Binary Domain PC (Retail)

Hello, I just opened this thread because I can't really figure out what's the deal with the retail PC version of Binary Domain.
I'm not keen on downloads, so I thought of passing the Steam April 27th release to get the retail on May 18th. I went to a local GameStop shop in my country (Italy) and got told that the PC version of Binary Domain hasn't got released and there is no release date set for it.
However, some others italian online shops list it as 'available'. Maybe they expected the release too, but I don't think they ultimately got supplied with the product, cause otherwise GameStop would have been too, since it's a so huge retailer.
Did SEGA really skip the retail release, sicking with the downloadable version? Did it got pushed-back? Or is it available in some countries only? I really hope someone can clear things up for me..

I ordered the PC retail release from an online store here in Sweden and they shipped it to me on May 16th, 2 days before the official release date, which was nice. So the retail release exists. However, it does seem to be an extremely limited retail release, checking on the online retail stores here in Sweden, only 3 of them stock it, far less stores than a usual game release.

Mind you, the retail release require Steam too, just that you then can install the game from a disc if you want to (and the retail release being about 15 euro cheaper than the Steam release), but you have to run Steam to run the game.
Signatures sucks, especially signature images. Which is why I have them off, so I never see the blasted things.

So the boxed version of the game does exist (at least here in Europe, I'm not sure about the US tho..?), it's just hella limited.
After all that's quite understandable, since the sales of the console versions weren't exactly brillant, still I find extremely odd that the biggest retailers (i.e. GameStop & Amazon) didn't get it, since that's where most people buy games and a far few would search elsewhere after having been told by them that a game doesn't exist...
Oh well I guess I'll just get my copy somewhere else.
Thanks for your answer, it was really helpful!

You can always buy the game for PS3 or 360 then, neither of those require any online activation of some sort.
