I've only seen my bro play up to mazuri hubs, and I must say, it looks great.
Why do so many hate this?

Learn from the past to make a better future, no seriously do that, it helps all.
Because the only good thing about it are the graphics, it's really stunning to look.

Plays quite well to me so far.
The graphics are perty. Gameplay is another story...
Beat the first werehog stage, freakin sweet. I'm starting to think sonic fans complain too much about the games, critics too. This seems fun, like two good games for the price of one, that's a pretty good deal if you ask me.
Gameplay wasn't horrible, I don't understand why everyone hates it!?!
The Werehog for me was very easy to control, Sonic was easy to control, I don't get why everyone has a fit about this.
Gameplay was fun, Chip is a decent character, he doesn't get annoying at all. Normally you only see him in the cutscenes so its not bad.
It's also nice to see only FOUR of the actual sonic characters in the game instead of going overboard with it. Tails, Amy, Sonic, and Eggman. That's all they needed.
Jeez people quit hating on something without good answers to support it. :/
I swear people hate on a game when more people start hating on it, and the line just gets longer and longer.
The most definitely was to many others, or at least not up to par with their tastes due to playing better games, Sonic or otherwise. The werehog is a poor man's God Of War with some Ristar thrown in for some flavor (and only possible saving grace) Putting a slower, lengthier, and tedious gameplay mode alongside one that was somewhat of an antithesis to was pretty poor in hindsight. That and how there are specific issues like how Sonic controls more like a greasy car than a platformer and so doing anything other than just boosting and HA'ing felt awkward and the stages themselves felt unfulfilling. Werehog had a lack of shadow, which led to otherwise avoidable deaths during platforming sections. Chip's nature and personality may not go over well with everyone's sense of humor or what they find likeable or endearing as a character. Forced medals-I could go on.
