It's funny cause he wouldn't let a game run until the last person quit because it would be a big lost of money, than they won't have money.

sega has other games.. im sure keeping an out dated server up wouldnt be too costly.

You broke your disk you lost $3 from GameStop Btw psu is linked to Xbox live servers if I remember correctly or something, they have to pay m$ to keep it up and update
But ff11 has its own seperate server so they don't have to pay m$ off

Really though. Pinpoof -- I'm gonna shut this thread, but let's think about this.

I totally understand your frustration, even if your ragequit disc-smash was a bit much. Every game ends, especially online games. Especially when it's on a platform that doesn't last forever. It really is the journey, isn't it? I mean: What exactly "should" you have to show for it? It's an MMO and we pour our time into it and meet people and do stuff and hopefully have some fun and some laughs and then it ends. Not to be too sentimental, but that's how life is.

When you say there's MMOs that have been going for 20+ years ... I'm not so sure about that (the only MMO I know of that's over 20 years old is "Habitat" by Lucasarts from the 80s, and it doesn't exist anymore). Some day Final Fantasy XI will shut down, too -- everything on Xbox 360, in particular, will have to close at some point.

I am sorry about the broken disc. Maybe next time wait for a grind boost and use some S+10s? :P
