    Default wait a sec, about cast numbers...

    Last time I checked, a good story can be done with many characters, even loads and loads of characters. So my question is this: why axe characters when a well written story can make them all work? It ain't like they all have to show up at the same time, so what gives? Durarara can pull it off, drake and josh focused on 2 protagonist but still had the supporting cast stay relevant, One Piece must have hundreds of characters, and it's one of the most popular manga/anime out there! So, why can't sonic, team get a good writer to write a good story for a series that barely breaches 50 in terms of recurring cast? (and even then some of them are dead)

    Because Sonic is a game series and not a TV/Manga series? And they're quite happy to have everything return to the status quo at the end of every game, so it's not like they're willing to write something more expansive and deep to include different plot arcs.

    Because they are lazy or afraid that it might turn up as a cr@ppy thing as happened before.

    They should try the Adventure 1 approach with character stories, but make it like Musou where there are loads of optional characters with a story. The gameplay is similar and the zones are shared but due to everybody spread out in the world the order of the zones and what areas focused on are different per character.

    It is an ambitious game, but it could work once in a while if SEGA feels that they should let everybody catch up with the cast.

    Sonic unleashed style gameplay some of you fans like so much takes up way to much time, then the game have to at least run at 30fp with HD, while moving super fast!

    The coder must be getting hell because they also have the so called hedgehog engine to work with as well. did you noticed how blured the BG gets, notice how you can't go many places, and some point you can't return. The coder are responsible for that

    figured boost in 3d had drawbacks.

    sounds good, hows it go? And what's musou if you don't mind?
