I am, been a fan of the Splinter Cell series since the 1st installment. I've bought and finished all of em, i think it looks great.

I was looking forward to the very first SC game about a decade ago, but was disappointed in it, as the sneaking aspects were rather limiting compared to the first two Thief games. And Splinter Cell: Conviction is probably the worst game I've played this console generation, being a sneaking game with daylight missions that have no sneaking in it at all. And while this video do show sneaking aspects of it, it seems way too actiony for me, and the daylight doesn't help either, so I will probably skip this game.
Signatures sucks, especially signature images. Which is why I have them off, so I never see the blasted things.

Well you definitely missed out on some great SC games. Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory were some of the best games last gen imo. I actually really enjoyed Conviction. It was a nice new direction for the game, the core mechanics that made up the SC games, mainly stealth, were sort of getting stale. Not sure what else they could've done to the series to keep people interested, aside from making it a more action orientated game. I think SC like Prince of Persia were two incredible last gen series that sadly didn't translate well to this generation. The only thing is, one of those franchises is still being developed..

If I ignored the title of this thread and only looked at the screenshot on that video, I would never have guessed it was a Splinter Cell game. That's not a good sign.

That's not the point. The point is that the gameplay changed so much it may as well be called something else than Splinter Cell cause as far as the gameplay goes it doesn't have anything in common with the first 3 games anymore. Instead it could be a new IP called "Arkham Modern Warfare", and noone would be able to tell any difference. The spirit of Splinter Cell is dead and buried.

It's like i said earlier. A game like Splinter Cell would not work this generation, the game needed to be revamped to please gamers and sell units.

Much better. I partially agree though. But I like these games where it still at least has some stealth formula. Thats why I play these games
