Hey to be fair, UE3 itself isn't responsible for green-and-brown. It's Epic's and their licensee's faults that they suck at art.

See Mirror's Edge and Borderlands (and XIII but that's UE2) for examples of how UE3 =/= green and brown.

lol I'm actually a fan of Unreal 3, I think it creates some awesome-looking games (Lost Odyssey, Shadows of the Damned, Enslaved) but honestly, they can update the graphics all they want, 90% of FF7's locations would still be bland. You'd still get off the boat and land in some generic tropical town with nothing to do in it except leave.

I was actually joking. But yeah, I agree, most of Final Fantasy VII looked atrocious, which why in all the ads, you almost never saw actual gameplay footage.
