Default VT 4 on Vita - varied shots / skid slice

    Good evening all,

I have recently started playing VT 4 on the vita, been a fan of the series since the first one on the Dremcast ( we miss you noodles !! ), however only had the chance to go through VT 1, VT 2 and 09 on X360. Im currently SPT ranked around 270 with 500-something wins and would like to improve. I play Chaktevadze and keep losing to players with either varied shots ( majority ) or skid slice, mostly Asian players. I have tried playing varied shots, but Im utterly hopeless at it. A word of advice would be greatly appreciated, how do I counter VS, or how do I play it. Does the physique of my player ( Ive created a bloody gianty ) affects his performance? Sorry for nooby questions, but I went through a lot of internet and this place seemed my last hope.

Many thanks in advance and have a good one
    Bartosz

Also ask if you want me to explain furthermore in how to counter them

And no, the body doesn't affect his perfomance I think

Sorry for the late response but I was busy with exams and finals.

I think the best explanation is to watch a video haha to prove that I'm right, here is one beating a skid slice (in spanish is cortado deslizante, I'm from Argentina) :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uji***ZJr7a3U (delete the "***", I putted them because the forum would block the link if I didn't...

And an explanation in words of what to do I posted it here: http://forums.sega.com/showthread.ph...t-a-Skid-Slice

It may seem that all I do is spam but believe me that's not mi intention haha, it's just to don't write the things twice or three times.

I'll try to capture and upload a video of a beating against a varied shots player

Wow !! thanks very much for your effort. Hopefully I can put the theory into practice. If its not asking too much, do you have any suggestions on playing varied shots ( both with and against ) ? I have tried that style again, but I cant figure out the slice shots, do I slice from mid court or closer to the baseline ? Somehow my slices are very high which gets punished severly. Also, when I play an opponent who uses varied shots his mid court shots are very strong ( normal top spin, not slice ) and mine are like in slow motion.
Wheres the secret ? I would be very grateful of someone could help.

    cheers

Sorry I never answered... I kind of stopped playing, anyways I uploaded a new video using varied shots, the key to that style is being in good position and charge the shot, and always try to be in a dominant position in the court (inside the court, going to volley occasionally). Hope you see this lol
